My friend’s account got hacked
My friend has this hacker hijacking his account and he can’t play on it as he keeps getting WEASELED. We went to cross saves and noticed that there is an Xbox account connected to the cross save, even though he doesn’t have Xbox and never did. When trying to deactivate cross save, it needs you to authenticate on all of the accounts….but the Xbox account is not his. So is he screwed? What can we do to recover this?

7 RepliesEdited by EckyThump: 3/2/2025 5:22:58 PMas you mentioned, if you can't deactivate the cross-save because you can't authenticate the xbox account that somehow was linked, they are screwed. bungie can't do anything. legalities and all, you know. one thing to consider is how the xbox account got linked in the first place. in order to link any new accounts, all existing accounts must be authenticated.
