Where you weren’t forced to use Emp Rift as your sole source of Empowering. As for Empowering Rift, it just feels bad to use. Especially on Solar when Radiant is as available as it is currently. A mechanically simple fix in my eyes would be to grant the Empowering buff the ability to be carried out of the rift. Similar to Well of Radiance granting Radiant and being able to leave with it still applied.
