Alternative solution to both Vaults & Weapon Crafting

Vault space is an issue for most at this point, Bungie doesn't seem to want to drastically increase this and weapon crafting for the most part is being phased out. To solve both of these problems my thoughts is an unlocked combination system. Stick with me as it's not easy to explain. Weapons drop as normal in activities with the same RNG. The unique roll on that weapon is now 'unlocked'. You then continue to 'unlock' new combinations. These combinations can then be changed, I'll use Edge Transit as an example: You acquire 2 rolls of ET: Roll 1: Quick Launch, Augmented Drum, Chain Reaction and Explosive Light Roll 2: Quick Launch, Augmented Drum, Chain Reaction and Bait & Switch With these 2 rolls now 'unlocked' you can now freely swap Explosive Light for Bait & Switch on your Editable weapon, with the first 3 perks remaining the same. You acquire a 3rd roll of ET: Roll 3: Quick Launch, Augmented Drum, Envious Assassin and Explosive Light You attempt to try and change your editable weapons perks to the following: Quick Launch, Augmented Drum, Envious Assassin and Bait & Switch This is an invalid combination as you have not previously 'unlocked' this combination, the invalid perk would be greyed out in the UI preventing selection of the combination. As for how to edit a weapons unlocked rolls, the Enclave makes the most sense and using resources to change these perks is fair I'd say. Doing it on the fly would defeat the point of double right hand perk weapons from events, etc. I have no idea how feasible this solution could be from a development point of view, but if possible would be a solution to hoarding weapons in your vault and a middle ground for weapon crafting on weapons no longer designed to be crafted. I originally thought of the idea for exotic class items but this equals 192 vault spaces to acquire all rolls across the 3 classes. It does take a huge chunk of vault space but is manageable. Weapons would need 100k+ spaces. Currently you keep the best 1 or 2 rolls for that weapon (or none) then when the meta changes or a perk is adjusted you need to somehow require a roll of it that you may already had.
