Dear bungo,
There are many people who come here for help or to give feedback… it’s very sad to see so many of these posts hijacked by the “skill issue” trolls… please consider clamping down by banning them for disrespect/hatespeech… it’s consistent from the same people… will make the forums a much nicer place :)
Good day!

Edited by Tall: 2/15/2025 10:31:33 PMIn that case, bait posts should be a ban-able offense as well. Seeing as that’s virtually all you do in the Destiny community.
btw gr8 b8 m8 a lot of people actually believed this post was genuine lol
While I think saying “skill issue” is a -blam!- thing to say, I don’t think people should get banned just for saying something you don’t like.
-
if you're hurt by it, it's likely true. Genuinely just play and get better. It's not hate speech. Your attempt at bait is bad. Life will give you harder reality checks than this.
-
This is where society is at folks. We have become so soft and so privileged that by saying “skill issue” we resort to crying and calling it hate speech. I think we need a great reset. We as a species can’t survive if we’re going to be this weak
-
“Skill issue” is hate speech? Get a grip man
-
There used to be a certain german party that also liked to limit free speech 😗
-
Whoa whoa whoa. I hate internet trolls as much as the next guy but calling their rudeness hatespeech is a terrifying precedent.
-
Ah yes.. the toxic jocks of our community. The ban hammer would help this place out considerably.
There are many people who come here for help or to give feedback
People who come to bungie.net and post aren't looking for help or to give feedback. They're looking to vent. There's plenty of "this content is too difficult" posts where someone gives genuine good advice and gets downvotes and insults.
-
Ah don't worry about it, It is a meme here (A dead meme). People who say just think that it is hilarious. Best thing is just to ignore them.

Conflating skill issue with hate speech is a STRETCH
-
Ah, I figured it was about time for another bait post. Thanks

Edited by Dr Livingston 9: 2/16/2025 3:25:58 AMI have been on forums where they insult so bad. Skill issue is very mild. Very mild. Saying someone sucks is not that insulting but saying to someone you will never get better is far worse. The chats I. Trials they call people useless bots. Worse than garbage. The purpose is to de humanize them.
-
“I want to change the world” ahh post
-
Just because it doesn't feel good doesn't mean people should lie to you. You need to learn to deal with your feelings better. Good luck.
-
Pointing out a fact regardless of how bluntly it was pointed out doesn't change the fact. If you have a gold-plated turd its still just a turd at the end of the day.
-
Nah, when I get a teammate that does 346 damage across 7 trials rounds, thats a skill issue, Get over it and get better maybe

I’m all for being inclusive, but this is excessive. You can’t control what everyone else says. Simply just don’t let it affect you. -
Tbh...only truth hurts. Skill issue is a thing and its mostly said to players crying and blaming everything but them (not asking for help)
-
Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen You are going to get criticism in your life , especially on the internet Build a bridge and get over it
-
Most of the time it is a skill issue tho. Can’t be mad at the truth
-
Lmao great idea, censorship always calms everything down

Edited by SenXXII: 2/15/2025 10:11:00 PMDon't let it affect you. Its random people. You shouldn't be caring about what random people say about you. Especially if you're a grown adult. The only judgement of you that matters is your own. There shouldn't be a human being on this planet that transcends that. I only care if I'M good enough. Also you need to be honest with yourself. People have strengths and weaknesses. I don't like toxic positivity that tells you that you're fine with everything. If I have a 0.5 Kd in crucible, it is, in fact, a skill issue. It has nothing to do with insults. It's just facts Also I hate emotional tone policing.

Well if someone comes on here making posts about how the Matchmaking is awful, teams are bad and how it’s all bungies fault, but they actually aren’t providing anything beneficial on losing teams and are getting carried on winning teams, then ABSOLUTELY I will tell them it’s a skill issue. Either provide something positive to a competitive environment (PVP) or get better and learn. Defeatism is apparent among destiny casuals who not only think the game is against them, but that it’s somehow not their fault they lose, EVER.
-
Edited by Althanash: 2/16/2025 2:18:23 AMIt's neither of the two. They're both facts.
