1 drop per encounter with 6 items in the pool. The boss is 2, but it has 8 possible items. I can’t tell the game I don’t want armor in my loot pool. I just want to farm the weapons and even if I could pick weapons only and no armor, it’s still 1/36 chance you get what you want once you get the specific weapon. It’s atrocious.
The game remains far too stingy with loot to be enjoyable to farm. But that’s how you want people to interact with the dungeons.
It’s just ridiculous that the episodic activities shower you in loot but dungeons are still one of the least rewarding activities in the game.
This is why I put the game down last episode until this new dungeon came out. The grind still feels unfulfilling. Why are you so afraid to let people target farm loot? I’m not even asking for crafting. I just want to be able to narrow down my loot pool and get an extra drop so I don’t log off after 3 hours feeling like I just wasted my evening.

Either we can craft and there's no loot to chase aside from low af drop rate exotics, or no crafting but also piss all drops. Don't even get me started on the stupid dungeon quest. Who the f at Bungie thought this quest was a good idea? Waste of our damn time.

with the lack of match making for most of the games activitys its not sustainable . someone calling the shots at bungie needs to wake up the party is over. your player base is wildly low and making mechanics front and center is killing the game even faster. the new dungeon is not playable for your core base players . sure you can get some help from some nice players out there. but what's the point if you can't just jump in quick match and play . most will never want to replay it . completely out of touch especially with player decline .

2 pieces per encounter (1 armour, 1 weapon), and 3 for final boss (3rd is entirely random).

I think there should be 2 chests one for armor and one for guns on normal you can pick one on hard both multi chests exist in many activities so why not dungeon and raid seems an easy fix to me -
I play much less when things aren’t craftable. I just get one strong roll for each weapon and call it good. Which I hate because dungeons have cool stuff.

Especially when the exotic is bugged and doesn't drop
-
We need a setting to disable armor drops once we get all armor pieces on a class

Im with ya 100%. And dude don't even waste time arguing with people who want to cope and pretend everything about this game is perfect, while players base continues to drop. Just give them a 👍 and tell them they can be right if thwy want to be. The dungeon loot chase is terrible, always has been. It's designed to make you run it non stop, and not reward you. That's why I don't touch dungeons anymore. You're trying to artificially extend my game time by making an unrewarding activity with terrible loot and no way to target farm? OK, watch me not touch that activity then. How's that for your player engagement.

Because IF the dungeons dropped guns or you could control your drops better you would have statistically high chance of actually getting what you want and Bungie has special data analysts that know your playtime would then decrease. IF you got what you wanted from Dungeon, seasonal activities, raids and even PvP Iron Banner most players would stop playing because the actual playing is NOT FUN. I don't have an exact date, BUT at some point Bungie realized they were not making fun activities, many players were not having FUN in dungeons and raids but they slogged through hoping to get the rewards they wanted and a dopamine hit from a drop. The game was initially designed with the "Bungie 30 seconds of Fun" motto. In the old days Bungie realized players needed a splash of Fun about every 30 seconds and they wanted that loop to always happen. However at some point they realized it would be better to just capture players in player engagement metric numbers to show bosses "look we have players logging in every ___ days and spending at least ___ hours" and the goal was to keep increasing those numbers. The BEST way to increase those numbers was no longer the 30 seconds of Fun, but instead a loot treadmill, terrible content with too many armor drops and fail mechanics wiping teams keeping them stuck for hours at bosses just to still not get what they want so they log in the next day and spend more hours trying again and again. it's actually brilliant. BUT some players are now waking up and realizing it's no longer fun and they are quitting to play other fun games that are also more rewarding.

Retroactive dungeon loot should be able to enhanced. At least from duality- warlords ruin

You are choosing to play the game in such a way that you bleed the content dry immediately. No wonder it's boring.

"Why are you so afraid to let people target farm loot?" Tell me..........do you get more play time out of people farming loot that's randomly generated or do you get more time with target farming? You want to narrow down your loot pool..........but clearly don't see by doing so.......you narrow down your playtime. Bungie can't afford that to happen right now. So it's RnG or nothing now.

yeah, i prefer just to do a 1 and done method for the week

You are just envious and venting. Farming dungeons is fine. If everyone had god rolls they wouldn’t be special.
