Not sure why this is not an option. I would have probably bought more than one Ornament set (especially the Star Wars ones) if I was able to change the appearance of my exotic armor.

I'm fully in favor of allowing universal ornaments on exotic armor pieces. I’d be fine with paying 500 Silver(+) for that, as long as I’m not forced to wear a strong but ugly exotic. This would be great for players and could also bring Bungie some extra revenue. Who knows, maybe people would even buy more ornament sets if they could use them properly. Regarding PvP: If I’m not mistaken, exotic gear is displayed at the start of Trials matches anyway—so you always know what your opponents are using.

I've never been on board with the "exotics need to stand out" argument for PvP. There are so many exotics in the game and they all have ornaments to the point that it's impossible for anyone to spot the vast majority of them. Sun bracers and the like are the only ones that truely stand out in a split moment. So yeah, they need to cut that crap, for PvE and PvP and I'm willing to bet that they'd sell more armor sets in the process.

Yes i agree that would be great most exotics are very good and pretty mandatory for a special builds but in most cases it totally destroys the drip quality. Same for Wespons…

I main a warlock and all my exotics look trashy.

Mfs acting like you can't just inspect and read what armor they are using. And if it's that serious to know, then just keep the icon the same for whatever exotic piece you're wearing. I swear people in this community come up with the dumbest reasons for why we can't have a nice thing.

Weapon ornaments should be colorable as well.. New dungeon exotic ornament looks dope.. wish I had the exotic dropped.. bought icebreaker ornament with silver but they gave it for BG end of the last season loss project

They have a new ornament for the exotic class items. Looks a lot better, but of course, it'll be for cash, lol. At least they finally showed their true color. I do hear that their reasoning is to allow players to see what they are using. But I don't know if I'm the only one, but when I'm playing and shooting and trying to capture zone, I'm not going "ohhh I wonder what exotic they are wearing, Instead, I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to get in this gunfight or how I'd win it. I never understood bungies' logic regarding that. I mean, we can just go to the roaster and see if we are that curious. Plus, with shaders and different ornaments, it's almost impossible to see what they are wearing. But yea, that's also why I don't buy any ornaments or care for them.

Edited by Fett: 2/10/2025 9:06:31 PMYeah that would be a pretty welcome change. There are so many exotics that looks so out of place and goofy with some of my armor sets I have saved
