I primarily wanted to vent given the recent response I received twice from support today (almost certainly not viewed by a human...likely due state of things over there at Bungie). My complaint was that I am still unable to change my account name and am still stuck with a Guardian#### moniker. I would like to assume that they are capable of viewing your account name change history, but that may be optimistic given their response below. Specifically "According to Help Request 370267, your Bungie Name was recently changed." The last time it was changed, it was changed by them...last summer.
I'd find it humorous if it weren't so irritating. That is all.
"Hello ,
According to Help Request 370267, your Bungie Name was recently changed. All players have a limited number of Name Change tokens available for their Bungie.net account. You can log into Bungie.net with your platform account and go to your Profile Settings to update your Bungie Name. Please view our guide for information about what is allowed and not allowed for Bungie Names.
Please note the following:
If your Bungie Name was recently changed, it's not possible to revert the change to your previous Name.
If you're unable to save a new Name, then either your Name isn't allowed or you don't have a Name Change token available.
It is not possible to obtain more Name Change tokens.
If you'd like your Name to be updated to "Guardian," contact the support team via this contact form, select "Correct My Data" under the Privacy Requested Action, then choose "My Bungie Name contains personally identifying information".
Your ticket has been closed. We are unable to further assist you about your issue."

So what are you struggling to grasp? You can change your name. Players were given the ability to change their name a few times. It clearly states if you previous name was changed that you can't change back to it. Are you ranting because you can't change back to your previous name? If so.... the name was either flagged by the system as being inappropriate or someone reported the name and it didn't align with the guidelines so was changed.
