About the 99 Engrams in the Pale Heart.

This situation occurs with vendors in the Pale Heart and Neomuna. The commonality between these two destinations is that even after unlocking all weapon patterns, certain activities (such as Overthrows and Terminal Overload) are still required to obtain random rewards, during which destination Engrams are generated. Once we have unlocked all the patterns for the destination weapons, there seems to be no worthwhile option to utilize these Engrams. It is hoped that more purchasing options can be provided for these vendors. Pale Heart: Exotic class items (41 Engrams for one, similar to Xur) and Ergo Sum. Neomuna: Focused Decoding options for Terminal Overload rewards—Volta Bracket, Circular Logic, and Synchronic Roulette.

I’d settle for an option to exchange Destination Engrams with their respective Vendors for Glimmer and/or Enhancement Cores as a short cut to having to claim then in groups of 20ish and dismantling them one by one in the Postmaster. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

    • I personally use those engrams for fast glimmer and or cores when I'm broke after spending on iron banner weapons 25k glimmer a pop goes quick. Just this week I was upgrading and enhancing weapons for next seasons artifact and dismantled over 400 engrams across all vendors in game now I'm no longer broke and ready to jump into the season prepared with fully enhanced weapons at level 20 for heresy.

    • It's a holdover from old economy. Getting engrams from vendors used to be a neccessary shard income. As without using glitches it was the only way to get consistent resources. With the removal of shards there's no reason for vendor engrams if you have patterns or rolls you want. So they just pile up now.

    • Which is the reason Bungie opted not to move forward with crafting. I had all pale heart patterns within a couple weeks and have never looked back.

    • 'I got 99 engrams, and the roll I want ain't one' TBH, these engrams, and those for Xur, Rahool and The Helm are all just glimmer/enhancement core fodder for me, and have been for some time

    • Good points about there being not much useful to do with them. Kinda feel the same way about Banshee’s engrams. I spam popped 99 of Banshee’s for cores and kept maybe one or two items? Well, I did finish ranking up so I got a few things there. Newer players probably get more use out of them?
