Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from the Soul of the World! Did you know I'm a twice-published author? It's true!

And, as a twice-published author, I know a thing or two about writing, you would think. So, I have a simple question for you: what questions would you have for me? If you want to write a book, or are currently trying to write a book, and there was something you wish a published author would walk up to you and start giving advice about, what would it be?
Now, I can't guarantee I'll have an answer for you here, but the goal of knowing what questions you aspiring authors might have is that I'm actually going to be making some video essays, and am looking for subjects to waffle on about. If I end up making any of the essays in response to your questions, I will be sure to share them with you then.
Tl;dr? Here's my point!
What writing related questions would you have for a published author, that they may be able to make a video essay on?
But that's all for now folks, jambuhbye!

How do I practice good habits of frequently writing and following through on ideas? I don’t have much of a desire to publish, but I would like to try and finish any of my ADD fueled ideas.

Edited by Upperclass Bum: 1/27/2025 12:02:23 PMHow write screenplay? I have an idea for a movie, but I honestly can't be arsed to put more effort into it beyond initializing the concept with a general synopsis of the plot. I would like to eventually write the screenplay though and then someone else can take it from there.

Edited by Cultmeister: 1/25/2025 6:21:54 AMEdit now or edit later? ie: do you find it better to write everything down and work out what fits and what doesn’t, what sounds good and what sounds like trash, once you’ve got a substantial portion done (would be easier for consistency) or can that get overwhelming and you’d rather do a lot of it as you go along?

How often do you start making a character and then get sidetracked by said character, making lore that is wholly irrelevant to the plot and will never see the light of day? -
