Matchmaking on.

I have never understood why matchmaking has to be turned off for certain activities. Yes i do understand why it is for Raids, but for others like Nightfalls (Expert and up), Dungeons, Exotic missions and even Legend Dares of eternity. There is no real reason to why it has to be turned off. These activities will function perfectly without going in as a team. Give us the option to either matchmake or go in with the team you have made. This will allow you to still play solo if you wanted to, play with a pre-made team, or with random people who is also looking for a game. The Fireteam finder on the Forum is not the best either, having to tab out and go to a website to make a post and then sit there and wait between a few minutes and a few days. Not to mention that it must suck for console players, having either to go to their pc or use their phones to access the forum. You would think that matchmaking would just have been turned on by default, seeing as how they started as a console exclusive game. (D1). Turning on the matchmaking will help a lot of people who can't or struggles with talking to randoms or just in general. It will also help when you can't or just don't feel like playing with your friends or clan mates.

I’m sorry but if my experience in solo trials has taught me anything it’s that not all modes should have matchmaking on by default. We’ve all had that one blueberry that has a subpar loadout, doesn’t play with the team, charges in constantly dying, or doesn’t do challenges/objectives. It’s bad enough in trials, do you really want that in Gms or dungeons? Not trying to be rude or mean just being realistic. That’s why some modes should require assembling a team of like minded players prior rather than the chaotic, unpredictable nature of matchmaking.
