A softer point will better mimic the head of a brush. 2) The slower the stroke the more difficult it'll be to keep a steady line, but too fast and it's more difficult to maintain proper dimensions. Practice each stroke individually rather than the character as a whole. There are only so many stroke varieties, so try and commit them to muscle memory. 3) Stroke order may not seem like it matters but learning it will help with proper spacing and dimensions. Do you "need" it? Not in terms of readability but it's good form.
