I’m bored. Teach me how to write better characters.

1 ReplyPretty difficult question to answer, actually. When I'm writing characters, I have to treat them like real people, give them a history (which isn't always known to the reader), give them a personality and have both inform their actions and reactions, especially when reacting to something the MC does.
