I think he means that it will make the two on par with each other, shotguns are for close range not the range of a freaken auto rifle so snipers would put them back in their place

It is definetely easier to counter a sniper than it is a shotgun. But this is a discussion about snipers, bringing back to D1 levels is not a good idea, we’ve been there, we hated it, and we complained day and night till they got nerfed.

But what is happening in the crucible now? Shotguns are becoming the most used weapon in the crucible and no one minds it? I got a lights out with a shotgun which just shows how op it is I would think snipers should be on that level as well

I am honestly using snipers in the comp mode and shotties in quickplay, the latter are def powerful, but not nerf-needing powerful yet. I do believe that primaries need better handling and better AA across the board at closer ranges to counter shotties. But having both snipers and shotties extremely powerful is just a D1 level disaster waiting to happen. You really need to remember D1 sniper days, where on each lane you had 3-4 sniper glares. Do you reqlly want to go back to that?
