IT WAS NEVER THE MAIN STICKING POINT! The comic made reference to it with very little detail. It was never the focal point of her story, but just a way for you to get to know her as a person and, hopefully, draw you further into her story. It was NEVER the main point... unless you're offended by it. Then, somehow, it's the only thing you remember from the comics.

Exactly! They try to throw blame and point fingers but, in doing so, they end up doing EXACTLY the same thing that they're accusing the other party of doing. It's easy to see fault in other people while ignoring it in yourself.
