I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thought this, but the nerf applied to the nightstalker invisibility a while back was uncalled for. To specify, I am talking about how it functioned by dropping aim assist. Before the nerf, it taken skill to detect and eliminate a cloaked hunter in the heat of combat. Now however, invisibility serves no function. Having been on both sides of this I can say that it can be annoying for all involved.
As a hunter, invisibility will not confuse or hide you from the swarm's projectiles, will not prevent hakke rocket launchers from achieving lock on, will not prevent graviton lance's void projectiles from tracking you, won't help you stay away from axiom bolt, and worst of all won't even help you against anybody who knows how to press the ADS button... I honestly can't even begin to count how many times I've taken aim at another target and ended up locking onto a hunter I shouldn't have known was there in the process. There just shouldn't be aim assist on targets we shouldn't know are there as it kind of ruins the whole cloaking thing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of how potent it used to be. But now it's essentially useless.
Yeah, I pretty much never see an invisible Hunter anymore. The only time I ever do is when I come across someone who just started using Hunter and thinks invisibility actually makes them invisible.
Hell, I pretty much never see Nightstalkers anymore or a Gunslingers for that matter. Not seeing Gunslingers that much kinda makes me sad since I was a gunslinger main in D1. Gunslinger just isn’t the same anymore.
