another week of empty cayde stashes

i post these because of the request in twab to do so, but it's every week. the first two i opened this week contained nothing. five minutes apart without picking up any other chest/material/etc. - literally the first things i did after logon.

It's a glimmer sink, so you have stuff to burn instead of having glimmer sit on ur bank for nothing. It's like the dude in Diablo, you risk spending money on crap vs. Getting something good.

Had no issues with the loot chests , got an exotic out of one and a legendary of another, the others had some mods, blues and tokens and the usual grey items.

Strange that's what works for me. Log in open one. I also open them all on the same character every time.

Couple this with the empty chests and do you not realize what a sucker you truly are? Bungie laughs at all who participate in this as it’s such an unrewarding scam. Play the game. 4 RepliesWhy the hell are you even bothering wasting your glimmer on those pathetic stashes? It's junk that Cayde thought was cool when he was 12. It's rubbish now. 100% useless at level 20 unless you're still wearing greens. Who even does these things anymore?

2 Repliesstep 1: open chest step 2: wait for loot to pop out (it takes a second) step 3: pick up loot step 4: if step 2 failed to happen, walk away and come back, loot should be there. step 5: if step 4 failed that RNGesus has cursed you, wallow in sadness and pray to pile of D20s for forgiveness step 6: if you do not have a pile of D20 dice what is wrong with you, no wonder our lord and loot master has cursed you, so in order to please him stop playing and go play D&D for several years turning down all good loot and giving it to others unless they insist you have it, in witch case you take it humbly and thank our lord RNGesus for the bountiful loot.

1) walk on the planet. Or sparrow if large. Don't fast travel so you can enjoy the graphics (since you don't seem to enjoy most of the game based on your tone). 2) open first chest. 3) find a public event or loot a lost sector or spend time killing guys. 4) head to next chest. Open it if it's been 5 minutes since the last cayde chest (to be on safe side). 5) enjoy getting something*. Hasn't failed me yet. *Something is not the same as "310 light level Uber gjallarhorn!" This just means it won't be empty. I usually get an exotic engram, 1-2 legendary, then blue items, glimmer, and his turn in for glimmer white items.

1 ReplyEdited by yourchutoy: 11/22/2017 4:07:09 AMApparently you cannot open them back to back. (5 minutes apart [b]is[/b] back to back) I usually go to orbit and chase down something else for a bit. Maybe a few Public Events, Patrols, or just kill enemies on another planet for a good 30mins or so them come back. Usually they have loot by then. Then wash, rinse, repeat until I got them all done. If that isn't the way you want to do it? Don't care. Don't comment if you do not agree. I am not gonna see it anyway.

Yeah that's unfortunate but it's a part of the whole RNG process of the game. Best to run Cayde stashes with a fireteam member with Medallions on to increase drop chances. Most time I will at least get an exotic out of one of them this way.

1 ReplyStop collecting planet materials altogether. Empty chests will be insanely rare once you stop. Also don't use ghosts to detect caches, that causes empty chests too.

I only had two empty chest last week. One chest contained a exotic engram that decrypted into my thousandth crown of tempest.
