You used to get tokens for destroying the materials in the lost sector that appeared during the faction rally. People would leave and come back and destroy them again. You could farm this way without clearing the enemies or getting the chest. One lost sector used to give you anywhere from 6-10 tokens and you could run them endlessly. Now that they are in the chests, and since they haven't fixed the chest cool downs (grabbing multiple chests in a short period of time causes chests to not give loot) it is now harder to farm faction tokens. It's a pathetic attempt at making people interested in the next faction rally if they don't get what they want this time around.
