banned for nothing
Well I'm seeing many other people saying that they are being banned simply in the first second they are entering the game as I did not even have how to create the character and I did not have the possibility to enter I believe that the program has a bug I read all the rules and I did not nothing to be banned wanted an official response to believe in a bungie transparency.
if you have also been banned without doing anything post here to know the problem!
edit1: apparently a lot of people are being banned for some random reason even without any linked overlay application.

1 ReplyI also noticed a lot of people had nvidia gpu and recently updated. I got an AMD and I updated yesterday and got banned like everybody else here. Im starting to get a migraine.

4 RepliesYo, Same thing here. My computer crashed under what I troubleshot as a video card issue so I checked for driver update using GeForce Experience. I started the download for the driver and my friend were telling me to sign back in because the event we were doing was about to complete. So I signed in before the driver finished the download and I got disconnect minutes later with an alert saying I was banned. Everything I'm reading on multiple forum posts is stating it's an overlay issue that's causing an auto-ban. I don't know what I can do now except post in here and get told by Kellogs, which he has done to every single post, what the Bungie policies are with links. While I appreciate the quick responses they are completely useless as this post I am now making. Cheers - Solid

I made numerous other posts on this same topic because I too was banned during the beta. I told people not to buy the game until they at least have customer support put into place to resolve these types of issues. It’s really is a failure on their part. Don’t support a developer that won’t allow its customers to contact them for support

3 RepliesThe post they have simply says that it might not be compatible with the game and there might be performance issues. Doesn't mention being banned at all. Is there any way to open a ticket or somethig to have the ban looked at?

1 ReplyBanned as well within 5 minutes. I had MSI Afterburner running so I imagine that's what did it. It's ridiculous that this is something that they let happen and didn't foresee. I also can't find any bungie customer support anywhere.

3 RepliesI am not running any overlays. I have even disabled the Nvidia in-game overlay yesterday after the update. I don't have game mode enabled either. Help Bungie !!

6 RepliesSame boat, Ran the game perfectly fine for 2 hours before I got the ban, had EVGA XOC overlay on and I'm assuming that's the reason why.. Honestly did bungie expect users to know before hand that overlays could trigger the ban?? this is ridiculous especially on launch day.

I just got banned too. B NET troop#1905 ... I only have Geforce Experience and Discord but not using the Overlay... what the !!!

Was playing for like 3 hours, went into crucible, got kicked out of the match because of a "disconnect", restarted the game and got the ban message. Asus GPU Tweak was running in the background because of an overclock for my GTX 1060. Might be what caused the ban. Was so hyped for the game. I can't believe what just happened. edit: played the beta with the Asus GPU Tweak software in the bg aswell and it worked completely fine. edit2: forgot to mention that i had the GeForce Experience Overlay running as well.

3 RepliesSame here! I had accidentally ran Destiny 2 using GeForce Experience thinking that It didn't matter what I used to run Destiny 2. Next thing I know, I finish the 1st part of the story and then just get banned out of no where! WTF Bungie >:(

Got banned like 4 minutes into the beginning mission, Geforce Overlay was active so that's the only thing I can attribute this ban to, I'm hoping I'll get a refund or something...

thanks for the heads up people.... I run a -blam!- ton of overlays to benchmark my things and write reviews.... but before they address this issue, I'll be refunding Destiny 2 in the mean time

3 RepliesI have been banned!!! Start the game, watch video, select caracter. The spectrum colours was wrong so i quit the game (i dont walk a single step whit my character), use Nvidia Geforce Experience to upgrade the graphic drivers. Run the game again, and surprice! Im permantly banned! Thanks a Lot!

I was banned too. Game locked up and crashed during a crucible match. After it kept crashing at login I did a scan and repair, all checked out fine. Launched again and it tells me I'm banned.

I don’t play PC but have read a bunch of posts. Some of what I read said you can’t use a modified computer. What the fork is a modified computer? Don’t most PC gamers play on PC so they can build their own with custom parts in order to get the best experience (not to cheat)? If that’s the case wouldn’t almost any gaming PC be considered a modified computer because somebody used the best parts they could afford? Did Bungie really not know what they were doing? Wasn’t Halo 2 a good game on PC? Like I said, I don’t play PC so I don’t know but it seems like Bungie really screwed you guys.

Someone needs to take legal action against you asap. I would've already, except I live in NZ. The amount of these bans is getting stupidly high. I'd even dare to say 1/3+ of the playerbase has been banned.
