"Oh, got ahead of myself. I'm Alexis, though some call me red because I'm always wearing a red hooded cloak."
The cloak seemed to drape a bit less than a meter off the ground as she wore leather armor with softer portions at the joints. Her face on the other hand, was not remotely intimidating being that of a young fair skinned woman with blond hair.
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen you either"

"Err, sorry. I am not what one would call a "people person."' The man told Alexis. "I am Cain." He introduced as he lowered the head of his spear to his body, and pressed in on the eyes of the carved dragon. The head of the spear seemed to jut! out of the mouth, and he gripped the bottom of the blade with his two fingers and he then began to slide the blade out, which was attached to a thin tang which slid out with it. "Cain Coldbourne."
-
"Huh" She stood waiting for the man to finish whatever it was he was he was doing.
-
He was just taking the head of the spear out. That way it would no longer be lethal.
-
She held the axe up in front of her as she approached keeping the sword at her side as she got into range. "I'll just avoid actual contact I guess"
-
shit sorry for the tardiness
Cain twirled his spear around as he approached his combatant. He twirled it left and right like a rotor of a helicopter, dancing the weapon between his fingers seamlessly as a frosty mist flowed from the spear like water.
-
It's all good.
"Neat" Despite having the axe in front she swing with the sword instead. Her slash seemed to aim for the air around her opponents shoulder.
-
Cain bent his knees as the strike was on its way, so that if it were to strike towards him he would weave underneath it.
-
As he knelt, her blade followed in an attempt to redirect her attack downwards. The silver plated edge tracing a glimmering line in the air as she wielded it.
-
In response the ashen haired warrior spun his spear and held it in place to meet the woman's blade, having the two weapons clash together. His left hand was opened and held in front of him, half expecting the axe to come his way.
-
As expected she had the flat of the axe heading in his direction, trying to "tag" her opponent's body with the flat of one of her weapons. She was clearly trying to use the fact he was knelt down to her advantage, pressing her weight against the other side with her elbow.
-
Cain responded to this tactic by reaching up and using his free hand to grasp her axe arms wrist, preventing her from landing a blow with her axe. While with his other spear hand, he suddenly jolted it up so that he would have some breathing room from the stalemate.
-
Alexis got back into form after a slight stumble from directing her weight so much. Her axe back in front with the sword not too far behind.
-
Cain used her repositioning as a chance to compose himself, as he dodged back and planted his feet into the gravel ground. He twirled his spear and then held it with both his hands, pointing it at Alexis.
-
"Range, momentum and leverage. Guessing that's the advantages of a staff?" She said while looking at his form while she debated whether it would be wise to make a second attempt at overwhelming him.
-
"It's effective, yes." Cain told her as he began to circle the woman. His steps crossed over one another, and each plant of his foot was firm.
-
"Huh, guess I'll have to give it a go at some point" She quickly put her sword back in her coat pulling out a hand full of dummy throwing knives to try her luck at range. She tossed a couple in Cain's direction.
