Lyn opened the cloth carefully while Cordelia now spoke to the men.
"You mortals all fought bravely. I found your rebellion very entertaining."

"Wait, what's that s'posed to mean?" Gerald asked as Lyn opened the cloth to see a shiny, black revolver. She was able to know who's it was immediately. It was Henry's. A .44 revolver, a classic killing machine at its finest. The grip had words written all over it, and Lyn saw they were lines of poetry, written by the man himself. However, the revolver seemed to almost...buzz...softly as she hovered her hand over it. "It was Henry's." Gerald told Lyn. "But...you probably knew that."
-
Lyn nodded, a small smile forming on her face as she fought off tears. She didn't exactly want to cry in front of everyone. Cordelia wasn't sure what the man was asking. "It means I found it entertaining, mortal. There's not much to it. I know you can be primitive at times, but I didn't think what I said was that hard to understand."
-
Roland gave Cordelia a bit of a scowl as Gerald seemed more focused on Lyn rather then her angel. "However we made some...adjustments, to the weapon. A few things that will make it more than a memento to a warrior like yourself." Gerald told Lyn.
-
Corldelia simply raised a brow at Roland, her wings stretching a bit to show off her immense size compared to the man. Lyn looked up at Gerald with confusion expressed on her face. "What do you mean? What did you do?"
-
"Well, we added some technical mod's to the build, and we've also been making use of the empires mages which surrendered quickly after our victory." He told Lyn. "See, the gun is able to pull in the energy from its surroundings to create bullets that will fill the cylinder. This makes it so you won't ever have to reload, or purchase bullets. First time we've ever combined tech and magic together, and it was surprisingly not that expensive. Considering what it is. Fact is, if you're ever in some serious shit, this will be one reliable weapon to have."

Edited by Stitch: 10/3/2017 1:24:30 AMLyn nodded and bowed shallowly. "Thank you, so much. It's an honor that you would gift this to me. I'll pay you back somehow for this if I can."
-
"Uh...pretty sure this is us paying you back already." Roland told her. "Least we can get you is a fancy shmancy pistol and a float to go with it."
-
Lyn shrugged. "Yeah, I guess we're even." "Not sure how you think saving the world and a crude weapon with a float are equal, Lyndis." "Cordy, shush."
-
Gerald stepped past Lyndis then, looking at the beat up old palace, as well as the city below. He took out a cigar from his duster pocket, and lit it with a lighter. He took a short puff before letting out a long breath as he looked around. "Y'know, the banks are gunna be all over this place now that the old man is gone." Gerald said. "It'd be a shame to see everything Alex built be condemned for one reason or another."
-
"Yeah, it would. That's why I'm thinking some of us should try and prevent that from happening." Lyn limped beside Gerald. "I wouldn't mind helping where I can."
-
"I can assist in that regard." Gerald said. "I am a long time investor with the Bank of Tatakai, the largest bank on this world. I'm sure I can pull some favours, maybe give a few pitches, and have those assets relocated from Alex's accounts to..." He turned to Lyn. "Yours."
-
"Mine?" Lyn blinked in surprise and stepped back. "Wh-Why me? I don't even have an account. I have no money at all actually....I'm honored though, if you truly believe I deserve it." Cordelia laughed in the background, enjoying Lyn's reactions.
-
"Well first off, we can make ya an account. Second off, why wouldn't I think you deserve it? We got enough politicians, bankers and general mad men running the world. Time for a fighter to take charge of something. Plus, if anything our sources have said are true, you'll need a lot to take care of all of the monsters on this planet."
-
"Well, thank you so much for choosing me!" Lyn's arms wrapped around Gerald in a friendly hug. "This planet? She's not limited to here, you know." "Cordelia, shush."
-
"Well, it's the least I can do." Gerald told Lyn before he looked to Cordelia. "And O'course she can expand if she wants. If she plays her cards right, spreading the corp to different planets should be a piece of cake." He told the angel as he dropped his cigar to the ground and gave it a light stomp. "I'll see to it now. Meanwhile Roland is gunna put that float together! AIN'T THAT RIGHT ROLAND?!" "Yes, yes I'll look into it." Roland said as him and the other men began to make their way off the bridge. "Anywho, I'd best be off. You look like you could use a years rest and a bottle of whisky."

Edited by Stitch: 10/4/2017 12:32:11 AMLyn waved to the men as they left, a smile spreading across her face once more. The angel's wings fluttered, ready to fly back home. "These clueless mortals heavily underestimate you, Lyn. Almost as much as you overestimate yourself." "Cordelia, can we just get back to the Dojo so I can celebrate with my friends before heading back to the hell known as the academy?" "Fine. I guess you earned a few hours to yourself." https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/234226241/0/0/1
