Ike was a bit skeptical - in truth, any ruler, true or fake, would say something like that. But from what few moments Ike had spoken to the king, for what short time he had observed Gilgalad, the boy knew that it was certainly possible. That the Golden King was more true and real than the others. All Ike would need was for a situation to arise in which Gilgalad could prove his claim. And, coincidentally, he felt as though he himself would work as one such situation.
"Okay, last question. Let's say there was a person who has... mistakenly, done horrible things. Taboo things, like consuming other people's flesh mindlessly. This person is viewed by others as a demonic abomination, somebody that many wish to purge from existence." He barely managed to force the words out of his mouth, but he understood the truth. He tried to remain indifferent as he spoke. "If you found that this person felt guilty about what they've done, and wanted to repent in some way... how would you judge them?"
Depending on Gilgalad's answer, the boy would either support the king's claim or deny it.
