Cannon gazed at the ground, not knowing how to answer him at first.

No development at all whatsoever plus I don't want the direction this started leaning for my idea. I was going to have him lose his ability to talk, bit I changed my mind, so why keep it? It's like a chapter that didn't make it into the book.
