It was hard to tell if Niles was acting tough or scared sh_tless as he held on completely quiet as the bird took off. After a few seconds he started talking again.
"There's raiders out in those deserts, whole clans of em. All killing for the others stuff. I can't go and call myself innocent but damn, what a man can do to another man..."

The first thing that Niles began marking in his head was where the gas stations and resturaunts he could see were. Diesel and propane, he knew what that would do in his truck. "Much farther out in the desert are a bunch of bombed out towns and citys. Ain't nothing else out there for a few hundred miles. It's either kill enough to scare everyone else away, join a clan of lunatics and hope there's some food at the bottom of that can being tossed around, or just hide and hope no one tries to kill ya."

Akiko can see several people down below sheild their eyes from the sand that get kicked up a bit when she lands. Akiko can see several young kids looking up at the bird and point. She waits for the the bird to land when the bird does she disembarks when lowers itself down fully. She grabs her bird's reins as some of locals come up couple of the kids she greets as large man walking over. Which akiko waves to. Akiko looks back at him. [/i]

Niles dropped down and made his way out to one of the gas station he saw on his way when they made touchdown. He didn't really say anything when he left. It was likely he was focused on the task at hand.
