She lowered herself as she got real close, raising the shield over her head and striking him in the waist with it while slashing at his knee.

As she remained where she was, she heard footsteps run across behind her. There were voices of Yorktown men which were loud but suddenly became hushed as they got closer.

As she looked back, she saw the duster wearing men she had seen back at the rebel base. The five of them stood around, looking at the scene. Then, One of them, a long blond haired man with a large double chin spoke up. "Damnit Henry....Lyn. What happened?" He asked her.
-
"I was fighting Faolin and he came to save me...his revolver jammed...I couldn't do anything...." Lyn began to cry again. "I'm a failure..."
-
"Well. I wouldn't say you are anything close to that." The man said. "You killed Faolin Coldbourne. He enslaved this entire land and you ended his tyranny. Not only that, with him dead, you likely cut the entire Coldbourne army in half if not more. Don't put yourself down for what you couldn't do, look at what you've already done. Without Henry...none of this would have been possible. He gave his life striving for a better future, and now it's in our grasp."
-
"I could've done more...." Lyn suddenly stopped crying and stood up, a terrifyingly angry look on her face. "...I will do more. I won't stop until every Couldbourne is dead."
-
The man looked at her with a smirk. "Aye...now that's a fine goal right there." He told her. "But for now...we have to bury our dead. Get Yorktown back into shape and all. While we do that, you should probably head back to the dojo. I'm sure they are expecting you to report in."
-
"I guess I should stop by for a second to let them know the situation before I begin my hunt. It was nice knowing you." Lyn began to walk away.
-
"Right...and HEY!" The man called out to gain her attention. "Your services here....they won't be forgotten. You are welcome to come back to Yorktown at any time."
-
"Thank you, but...I don't think I could bare the reminder." She clenched her fists as she kept walking.
-
"Well...the offer stands. Thank you, Lyn. I hope you have safe travel in your journey."
-
"Safety is not an option for me. Besides..." Lyn turned slightly with a smirk. "...that would be boring." She winked before continuing on her way.

She walked across the plains of the shi canyon, the blood ridden land now coated with a new paint. It's history of bandits, mafias and wars were endless. But that day, it had all but ended. The shi canyon already started to rebuild while Lyn walked north, towards the dojo, where she would be able to seek out and destroy the remaining members of the Coldbourne family to suit her vendetta. At least...that was her plan.
The End
