Before he could leave the small cave palace, for a lack of better words, an unfortunately familiar voice stopped him.
"Heading out, Canny?" Diana Coldbourne asked Can as she came from behind one of the pillars. Can was right at the door at this point. It was as if Diana was waiting for him to almost leave.

"They cpuld have left the woods by now. I kind of lost the trail when the Grenwalds attacked me." He replied.
-
"Well if they are here, I'll help you catch em! Nothing will stop this power duo! WHOO!" Bella exclaimed as she began to skip ahead again.
-
Cannon smiled again. "I don't see how. Like you said, there aren't many strangers around. They'd have to be fairly new here, but still less recent than me."
-
"Well they are someone! And detective Bella is on the case!" She told Can with an affirmed tone.
-
"Well, if we come across any new people who've been here only slightly longer than me, keep an eye on them." He replied.
-
"Aye, aye Watson!" Bella said to Can. But...suddenly Cannon thought he saw something. A shimmer in the bushes or some kind of movement. Bella however didn't seem to notice as she continued to skip through the grass.
-
He already had an arrow notched, and reached out with one hand to tap her shoulder. "Something's there." He whispered.
-
Bella eyed around the area as she halted. She looked around more with suspicion as she suddenly dived into the bush behind Cannon and seemed to disappear from view.
-
Cannon kept an eye on the bush that moved as he slipped behind a tree, dissapearing as well. He kept his bow ready.
-
The bush moved again, but Can heard Bella whisper to him from her own green cover. "It's a distraction!" She told him in a hushed voice.
-
He nodded silently, though she couldn't see him, and began to look around them for other possible hostiles,
-
Can thought he saw something move ahead of him through the grass. The grass seemed to move oddly and it definitely was not the wind that was blowing it in such a parting fashion.
-
He slowly and silently drew back the bowstring, thankful that the compound bow made it easier to hold, and took aim.
-
Then, he saw a shimmer on his left. As he looked to his side he saw what appeared to be a mass of green that blended into the environment bringing a sax knife down towards him from above his head.
RED ZONE.
-
His enhanced reflexes kicked in as he swung his bow with superhuman speed, aiming his blow at the hand wielding the knife.
-
The knife came down prematurely to meet the arrow. The arrow deflected off the knife but the knife went flying out of the figures hand. Cannon then felt a punch to his gut as he finally saw the green cloaked figure in front of him.
-
Cannon stumbled back slightly before swinging the bow like a club at the attacker's head.
-
The blow was grabbed by the figures hand. He still shimmered with the environment almost magically as he blocked the blow then kicked Can in his chest.
-
Cannon released the bow to catch the foot and throw whiever this was down.
-
The tactic worked and the man fell to the ground. But Can saw another shimmer come from the man's hand as he drew what seemed to be a small knife from his cloak.
-
Cannon didn't bother to draw his own knife, not wanting to actually kill anyone besides his target ad he brought his boot down on the knife hand.
-
The man's hand was stomped into the ground and he let out a grunt. Then, he saw something move in be bushes ahead of him. Another shimmering figure came from the green and seemed to have a bow drawn on him. The arrow was released, but it was suddenly deflected in the air. A second arrow rested on the ground and Bella jumped from the tree beside Can, the tree he had taken cover behind. How did she get there?
-
Deciding he'd ask her about it later, Cannon hauled the man to his feet, pressya knife to his throat. "Fire again and he dies."
-
The shimmering body stood in the grass. Bella drew an arrow on her black recurve bow and took aim at the figure. "You...you bastard." The man called can. Can could see the bow in the man's hand still.
-
"Back off and I'll let him go." Cannon replied, keeping the knife close to the man's throat.
