"...I think. I don't know.
...Zera, is that you?"
A tint of happiness was within Irina's new voice, as the Vileblood smiled a little. It had been...a long time since she had last seen Zera. A pang of guilt filled her heart for being a traitor..

"Trust me; I've calmed the public since. They see you as an accomplice now. As for me..." Zera responded, walking up to Irina and pointing her katana toward the Vileblood. "Well, let's just I might need to sharpen my skills. And considering you're one of the only ones who know me..."
-
"I'd be perfectly fine with helping you out with that. It's...it's the least that I can do for you. Guess we're dueling with katanas then?" Irina sheathed the dagger within her left hand just then, allowing it to hang at her side as she looked at Zera calmly.
-
"Of course." She responds, moving herself and her katana into more or less a defensive position. "Some of the Immortals still see you as a traitor, however. They're mostly silent, but any attempt at your life will end with their silence." She responds. "Now...your move."
-
"...That's a reassuring act, but...I wouldn't want them killed. They would become martyrs." Without warning or hesitation, Irina lunged towards Zera, speed kicking it as she swung overhead with her sword- Before fainting and strafing to the left side, swinging with both blades at Zera's waistline.
-
She moved her blades so that her katana could clash with the Vileblood's two blades...albeit she was dazed a little bit by the copout. "It seems you've...improved, at least from my eyes. You're not the only one, however." Zera had whispered to Irina, before using one of her legs to kick Irina's knees.
-
Irina responded with a kick of her own, as metal met flesh, her cybernetic ankle meeting Zera's boot. A -CLANG!- was heard, as Irina spun back and nodded. "Damn, that was good...let's continue. Come on at me."
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 5/4/2017 10:59:32 AM"Gladly." She replied, seemingly charging headfirst toward the Vileblood...that was until she sheathed the katana and backflipped over Irina, landing behind her, and tried to stab her by pulling her katana back out.
-
Irina merely remained in place, even as Zera flipped over her - whereas she smiled, as she brought down her weapon to meet Zera's. The two blades crashed and locked, as Irina nodded. "Good, good." She muttered - least, before gripping her dagger and slamming its blade into Zera's side, preparing to kick her away afterwards.
-
She yelled in pain as the dagger made its way through the side, before she took out her own dagger, and stabbed it in Irina's shoulder. She then attempted to kick her away from her.

Edited by Orn: 5/5/2017 9:08:03 PMA pained gag was all that escaped Irina's mouth before she was kicked away, ripping out her own knife as she stumbled away from Zera. "Expected a killing move there, but..." Irina nodded, smiling briefly as she allowed her Rakuyo to become one: she twisted the sword and bloodied knife together, creating a hybrid weapon fear she held in her left hand while she used her right to tear out Zera's knife. "...No sense in throwing it back at ya, but.." Irina smirked, tossing the knife at Zera.
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 5/5/2017 9:59:44 PMZera caught the knife, twirling it around I her hands, before placing it back. She pulled out her katana once more, slowly standing up. "I'd rather not ruin the fun we're already having." She replies, slowly getting up, her thigh injury making her begin to limp. She closed her eyes, her Combat Focus beginning to activate.
-
Irina didn't immediately lunge at Zera as she limped, yet she did study the woman carefully, ignoring the blood loss as the pained look remained upon her face.
-
As well, Zera had looked at her injury, barely even being able to move her upper body without her entire body hurting. In between heavy breaths, she said, "Loom at us; two older women, fighting one another just because they like it...it's been a while since I've been in this type of fight."
-
"Heh...certainly a way to greet a dear friend, isn't it?" Irina laughed to herself, approaching Zera as she then prepared an assault. She slashed once with her katana, keeping her right fist on standby as if she was planning something.
-
Considering Zera had her Combat Focus active, she was able to block I with both hands, prepping to once again kick Irina in her gut. "Agreed." She responds.
-
Irina met the kick with a horizontal punch with her right hand- -which now had a two-foot long, Damascus steel blade protruding from her forearm. Cybernetics, supposedly..
-
She widened her eyes at that, but took the stab head on, shifting one of her hands from her katana to her knife and proceeded to try to stab Irina in her gut.
-
It succeeded, as the stab sliced through what appeared to be conjoined flesh and metal - Irina was quite cybernetic. Irina gagged in agony, but kept her calm as the blood spewing from her body froze over the knife blade- -Locking it into place. She then delivered a painful punch to Zera's jaw, metal crashing against flesh and bone.
-
This worked, as she dropped her katana and stumbled back. She took off her mask and spit out blood from her mouth, as it started to come out of her nose. In between heavy breaths, she says, "Well...maybe for once in my life, I'd actually be beaten." She says, her Combat Focus finished. She then waits for Irina to possibly charge at her.
-
"Bwah...don't be so negative~" Irina sputtered out, bleeding quite severally until she concentrated: the blood seeping from her gut and shoulder froze over, while she tore the knife out, eyes widening in pain, although the knife wound closed with blood as well. She was still in agony, yet capable of fighting. Somewhat. "...Not calling this a draw just yet-"
-
"Neither am I. But for once...I would want to say that this was good." She replies, slowly making. Her way up, using her katana as support. "So...how has...your family been?" Zera asks between heavy breathes.
-
"Heh...decent, now that you mention them...Arianna and Isaac are off on some adventure, Panta is as sweet as ever...Mion, she's doing well.." Irina circled around Zera, although her adrenaline had ended. She was...actually quite calm. "...You find anyone special yet..?"
-
"Well...one of my messengers, Danny Li seems to want to flirt with me...then again, he flirts with everyone in the Immortals. Otherwise...no one seems to catch my eye." She replies, using her katana in one hand and her own cybernetic arm in the other.
-
"...Heh, you'd think that he'd have...a little more respect. Oh well.." Irina switched her Rakuyo to her right hand, as she aimed her left palm at her opponent. But why?
-
She had thought of the blade from earlier...and was ready to counter the palm if necessary, switching her katana to her left hand. "He's harmless...he's mostly the broker that's trying to get bandits, mercenaries...anyone who's willing to join in our side." She responds.
