Cannon smiled slightly at Bella's reaction as well, a slightly distant look in his eye.

"Can." Ulfric said. He sounded serious. "It's only been a short while, but I think we have talked enough to consider each other friends, have we not?" He asked Can.
-
Cannon nodded. "Aye, we could." His smile remained slightly.
-
"So then when I say to you that you must guarantee my daughters safety through this initiation, you understand the magnitude of that request, correct?"
-
He nodded again. "I promise I won't let anything happen to her." He knew he wouldn't forgive himself if something happened to Bella on his watch.
-
"Good! Good. Now, the grenwalds are highly skilled. Do not underestimate those gentiles do you understand?" Ulfric asked Can once more. The man was cautious that was for sure.
-
"I understand, sir. I've seen my share of fighting." Cannon replied, giving an assuring smile as he did.
-
"Well, you've only been here for a week Can. Who have you fought as a Shepard?" Ulfric asked Can.
-
"Bandits. Especially otger shepherds trying to steal from the herd and flock. Lots of ambushes and the likes." Cannon replied, making it up as he went along.
-
"You had vicious Shepard's who tried to steal Your sheep?" Ulfric asked Cannon with a grin.
-
"You wouldn't be laughing if you saw the 200lb bows they use..." Cannon replied, frowning.
-
"I'll take your word for it then." Ulfric told Can with a chuckle. "Now, you best be off. Bella is probably already waiting at the front of the village."
-
Cannon smiled and turned to leave, heading towards the edge of the village.
-
Before he could leave the small cave palace, for a lack of better words, an unfortunately familiar voice stopped him. "Heading out, Canny?" Diana Coldbourne asked Can as she came from behind one of the pillars. Can was right at the door at this point. It was as if Diana was waiting for him to almost leave.
-
He stopped. "Yes, why? Need something?" He asked her, glancing around to see if anyone else was about.
-
She walked closer to him, slowly. "Mmmm. Just wanted to see you off is all. Don't mind it. You are going with Bella, correct?" She asked Can as she continued her slow approach.
-
"Yeah. I was told to help keep her safe." Cannon nodded. In his mind he was running through the possibilities of killing her here and now.
-
"Oh, how good of you! She's a bit eager, that could very well be her...unfortunate downfall." She told Can. She sounded so brutally ominous as she stopped right in front of him. Can noticed she had no weapons on her.
-
He was careful to keep his cloak pilled snugly around him, concealing his knife as his fingers slowly curled around the handle. "She's a good kid."
-
"She is. She really is." Diana agreed with him. "It would be a shame if something bad happened to her, truly. But you'll take care of her well enough, won't you?" She asked Can as she brought the back of her hand up to his cheek and let it fall off his face slowly.
-
He reached up, taking her hand in his to keep her from escaping as he rapidly drew his knife, faster than a human eye could follow, and slashed it at her throat with tremendous force.
-
But suddenly, a tremendous amount of cold seemed to flow into Can's body. As his knife just cut at her throat, to the point where blood flowed from her neck, his arm simply stopped moving as if it had been paralyzed in place. But...it felt like it was frozen. The same went for the rest of his body except his face but he could still feel Diana's other hand pressed against his stomach. She moved Can against the wall easily and he felt his back crash into its stone build. "My, my." She said as she winced from the cut. It hadn't gotten deep at all. "I...I knew you were more then what met my eyes. Haha!" She laughed smoothly as she kept her left hand to his stomach. She raised her right hand up to her cut, and a thin layer of ice seemed to coat the wound and freeze it.
-
He struggled against the ice, his augmented body fighting against it to free him. His body temperature began to rise in response to the ice.
-
"Let me guess...Dojo? Is it? They sent you here to kill me? My, vengeance is rather an unhealthy thing don't you think?" She asked Can. His body seemed to be freezing but there wasn't actually any ice coating him. It just felt like someone injected ice water into his blood stream and it continued to flow and freeze his entire torso and legs.
-
He remained silent, glaring at her as he attempted to move. His augmentations were working overtime to try and counter whatever this was.
-
"Nothing to say then...?" She asked him as her eyebrow raised itself a little. "Too bad. Ah, well. It doesn't matter. You're a man who tried to kill me, wouldn't be the first one nor are you going to be the last...heh. But, I'm a woman who just LOVES games. Any kind, really. This game...? I think I will enjoy it quite a bit." She told Can as she backed away. He felt his body release itself as he fell to the ground. There were no guards around, yet. But he still had no idea what the woman was capable of besides whatever she had done now. "Do you like games, Canny?" She asked him now.
