The bowstring snapped back smoothly and easily to Can's cheek. It was significantly easier to hold now that he pulled through the weight of it.
"Whoa!" Bella exclaimed. "You just pulled back two hundred pounds! That's like...pulling back a welter in weight!"
Welter looked at the girl ad raised an eyebrow. She looked at the large man then paced away whistling awkwardly.
"Uh-huh. Right. Consider it yours then." Welters put simply.

"Thank you." Cannon slung the bow over his shoulder and looked over at the melee weapons.
-
They hung on the wall to his right. They were mainly short swords, none of them had guards. The blades were long and pyramid shaped, of the sides of the pyramid were stretched out and the top was as well. They all looked very alike. "Ya. The blades are where you gotta get uniform unfortunately." The smith said. "If everyone knows how one blade works, everyone can teach someone else how to use it."
-
Cannon picked up one of the swords, testing it's balance. "I'll admit I'm not much with a sword, I allways used a hunting knife and bow." He admitted.
-
"A knife?" The man asked. "Hold on." Welters went to his workbench and opened a drawer. He took out a thin black box, but he also took out a knife. The blade was curved and short. It looked like it could tear into something if it were to stab something. The grip looked like a pair of brass knuckles and faced outwards, opposite of the curved blade. "How about this?" He said as he tossed Can the knife.
-
Cannon caught it and weighed it in his hand. "Not bad... I like it."
-
"Good. consider it yours then." The smith said. But now, he turned to Bella. "And you! It's your birthday today? Ain't it?" "UMMMMM MAYBE?!" Bella let out. Even though the answer was obvious.
-
Cannon raised an eyebrow as he sheathed the knife, glancing at Bella.
-
"....yes." she said quietly. "Of course it is. You think I forget twelfth birthdays? That's the year you truly join the clan anyways. This week you'll probably have your initiation. So, I made you something." "What?" Bella asked. "What is it?" Welters lifted the thin black case and walked around his bench to the black curly haired girl on the other side. He knelt down and held it out. He lifted the box lid up, which revealed a fantastic looking dagger. It was single edged, and the back of the blade was flat. The single edge made its way up then came to a point. The grip was curved and the pommel was round and metal.
-
Cannon smiled, gazing at the knife. He was impressed by it even at a distance.
-
"Ummm..." Bella looked down on the blade. She grabbed the hilt and bounced it in her hand. "How does it feel?" Welters asked. "It's good!" Bella told him. "It's...it's great! Thank you, Welters!" She said as she gave him a quick hug. "Ha! You're welcome Bella. Here, a sheath to go with it." He said as he lifted the cloth inside the box up which revealed a black sheath for the blade. He handed it to her, and she slid the knife into it. She strung it around her hip quickly then turned to Can. "So? How does it look?" She asked him.
-
"Looks great." He replied with a warm smile, absently twirling his own knife between his fingers.
-
"YAY!" Bella let out. "alright you two. It's about dinner time." Welters told them. "You best be making your way somewhere to eat. "OH! CANDEROOSE! YOU CAN EAT AT MY HOME! COME ON!" She said as sure suddenly gabbed his hand again and began to run towards the door.
-
Cannon was almost pulled off his feet, but managed to keep his footing and follow her. "Whoa... Slow down!"
-
"C'mon C'mon C'mon!" She yelled as she pulled the door open and pulled Can outside. She began run down the gravel path as she continued to pull him along.
-
He followed as fast as he could. "You're very excited, aren't you?" He asked.
-
"Well YA! Dad might be making something like, super good?" She told him as she continued to run down the road. Eventually they made their way down a street where there was a wooden two story home in front of Can. It had a window on he second floor and a porch that rested in front of the door. "Here we are!!!" Bella declared. She suddenly stopped for a moment before she looked up at Can. "Um...you...actually wanna come in right?" She asked him genuinely.
-
He smiled slightly. "If that's ok, yes." He replied.
-
"YAY!" Bella let out excitedly as she pulled Can up the stairs of her porch. She opened the door and walked him inside. Inside, there was a large room to the left. This room had a small dining table with four chairs seated at it. In front of the fable was the kitchen, were everything like the pantry and stove were lined up. The room also seemed to have a few reading chairs away from the eating area and a few shelves of books along with a fireplace. To the right where a set of stairs that made their way up to a second floor. At the kitchen, a red cloaked man had his hood down and the smell of cooked spices, vegetables and meat filled the room. He turned around to see the two enter. "Well! Bella! Look who you brought in!" Said Ulfric Tokage with a smile.
-
Cannon smiled sheepishly at being dragged in. "Hello, sir."
-
"Canderouse. It's good to see you!" Ulfric greeted. Bella let go of Can and ran at her father, giving him a hug. "Whoa you! Have you been showing Canderouse around today?" Ulfric asked his daughter. "Yep! It was fun! We talked to Marzia, then Welters!" "I see that!" Ulfric told her with a smile as he gestured to her knife. He looked to Can. "Thanks for tagging along with her then, Can!" Ulfric thanked.
-
"It was no problem. She's fun to be around." Cannon replied, smiling slightly.
-
"That she is!" Ulfric declared. "Anyways, you are staying for dinner, right?" The Tokage leader asked Can as he stood up and worked on his food again,
-
"If that's alright with you, sir." Cannon nodded, remaining polite as possible.
-
"Of course! Of course! Sit down!" Ulfric gestured to the chair closest to the door that Can could sit at.
-
Cannon bowed politely and sat down. "Thank you, sir."
