"An entertainer? How painfully dull it is to make people smile." Zora said, looking over at Gerald
English

"Well it's not like there's much else to do. We know the beginning, end and likely pondered the meaning of life for the last several eternitys. Besides." He looked over at the rift. "This is without a doubt the most entertaining sandbox of unpredictable outcomes imaginable"
-
"Than you haven't seen my own personal timeline. It was ditched by the Guardians 263 years ago. I've been playing with it since."
-
"Oh? Well I'd assume it is probably a bit more interesting than this crazed gladiatorial arena I came across"
-
"Meh. I tried combining everything into one. So we have Wonderland going up against the Sith, and then we have the black plague. All the while, we have a knife wielding maniac that has become king of seventeen galaxies."
-
"Hmm, now that just sounds like pure chaos." He says thinking it through in his head. "Still, you have to be curious what the results of ancient civilizations with weapons from the future would result in. A test on adaptation would be the best way to look at it."
-
"Perhaps. It could be a heavily debated topic I think."
-
"The Roman Empire had a very elite and organized mentality, but Vikings have had to adapt their entire lives. The T-Rex well, it would have been hopeless without someone to guide it so I improvised."
-
"Improvised? Why don't you elaborate." Zora said, turning to Gerald, curious
-
"Bringing a T-Rex in was the easy part, the hard part is the fact you cannot train a dinosaur to use a gun. So I may have tampered with an alternate history where WWII soldiers found a way to ride them."
-
"Close enough I suppose." Zora said, looking back into the portal
-
"Well, now that you know my little project would you like a more personal view or simply just watch from here?" A glass of ice with water in it popped up in his hand that he took a sip from along with the table he seemed to materialize often.
-
"Personal view? Such as what?" She asked, moving towards Gerald and sitting down on a chair that she formed
-
"Well it's not like we have to worry about dying since time won't let us, and we're free to intervene however we want in there. Maybe have a friendly wager on which army will come out on top." Gerald pulled out a pocket watch with a golden cross etched into it. "Castlevania, 1944 A.D.'s clock. Jonathan Morris' quest to slay Dracula was around that time. I kept a number of these things to keep track of my own timeline when I need to. They called this event the 'Portrait Of Ruin' "
-
"What exactly does a pocket watch have to do with two armies Fighting?" Zora asked, looking at the watch in Gerald's hands
-
"I'd be willing to place a wager that the Vikings could come out victorious in this little, situation. The pocket watch itself is useless here but around the time it's meant to be in, it plays music when anything major is supposed to happen and if I recall, Mr. Morris did find out how to use the vampire killer whip without being a Belmont." The random factions prepared themselves for another strike on each other. Attempting to claim the insane lands as their own.
when in reality I'm just flipping a coin and seeing which side wins the war lol
-
"I think I'm going to have to go with the Samurais. Laser cannons."
-
Laser cannons appeared in front of both factions who took a moment to look at the machine. The Vikings made sense of it due to their understanding of the crossbow and we're pleased to see they did not need to reload it like it's primitive counterpart. Samurai however were used to gunpowder based weaponry and caught on just as quickly, aiming it like an ancient musket. Once both got close enough they began firing upon each other slightly clumsily as they got used to the weaponry. Others of both parties drew their swords. The raw power of Nordic steel clashed with the precision of the Katana both not used to their new opponents. "Well this should be entertaining"
I'll let you call it. Heads or Tails?
-
Tails
-
While both seemed fairly skilled in their own right luck seemed to yield in the Vikings favor as they managed to push through the ranks. Eventually they managed to bring the fight in their favor and conquered for the time being. "Well then, that could have gone either way. Still, if you want to borrow the watch and look at that point in time you wouldn't be dissapointed. You might even get to see the lord of darkness himself"
ended up with heads
-
Shame.
"Hm. Interesting fight. I don't wish to impose though. It's your watch."
-
"Not to worry, I offered" He went to take a sip of his water then notice it was empty and restored it with more. He looked at the wound up pocket watch that to an ordinary person would be considered broken as it did not move. "Besides I've been there so many times I know it all by heart."
-
She reached her hand over the table, opening the palm of her hand
-
He handed her the watch and it didn't seem broken. Only temporally out of place. Seemingly as if was paused when it was outside of its timeline. "It should start up whenever you get near its timeline. It's like a record waiting to be placed on a record player."
-
"Huh... Thanks" She said, the watch being put away in her pocket
-
Gerald laughed a little bit at the irony. "I win the bet and still end up giving out the prize. I would make a terrible gambler wouldn't I?"
