"Undertaking"
Unknown Location...
A lone engineer walked up to some massive machine. Tucked away in the growing ruins of an old church, laid the mainframe for one of the most despised beings within known Alliance space. His name? The Illusive Man. And he'd became an AI...who'd rather want to keep things quiet.
That lone engineer happened to be a quarian, who had proceeded to upload as much as he could use, looking up at the man.
"Illusive Man; we've gotten reports of victories on Harmony, Demeter, and Terra Nova, sir. Mrs. Brooks is...well, on the defensive." He replied, the Illusive Man poping out as some AI reformed as some holographic human.
"Good. As in return...the crew of the Deimos have managed to gain success in gaining three of the Shepard's. Unfortunately, they haven't recovered her just yet." He replied, the Quarian simply looking down in response.
"Damn it. Do you at least know where she could be?" He replied, the Illusive Man nodding in response.
"Yes; and I believe I know exactly who to trust. Problem is, their enemy isn't Cerberus, or some mercenary faction...no...it's something much more dangerous." He responds, a smile creeping up his face.
-----------------------------------------------
Bang! Bang! Bang! Something woke up Val, as she carefully snuck passed her adopted child Maya, and proceeded to open the hatch to the ship. A Cerberus operative laid in wait, a simple Assault Trooper, in normal Cerberus gear. Someone, however, was watching this entire ordeal...it was up to them what they wanted to do...
Open to Roy. BTW, you're that person watching the two.
"How long is the ride? Do you know?" Glitch asked, looking up at Cheryl.
-
"Well, traveling from what used to be Alliance space to the Terminus Systems takes a day...at most." She replies, leaning on the wall nearby. "You know, I'm surprised the Illusive Man is even still alive. Thought Shepard would've kicked him and also Leng to hell back on Cronos Station." She responds.
-
"You know we don't have to take the Deimos. We could take the Invictus, get there in a few moments." Glitch commented, looking around the ship and crossing her arms over her chest
-
"How much faster?" She replies, looking to Cryark, who was examining his weapon.
-
"Well it'd go from one day, to make 50 seconds. Leaving you feeling a little wobbly though. Slip space is weird." Glitch said, a smile forming on her lips

Edited by A Stormy Dio: 4/18/2017 10:07:17 PMShe thought about it for a moment, before turning to Val, who was seemingly looking at the galaxy map, a ocean-like planet in view. "Val...Glitch suggested we jump on her ship. You in?" Cheryl yells across the hall. Val simply turns to them and replies, "You sure? Don't exactly want to barge into your ship unwelcome." "Hey, long as they have drinks and weapons there, I'm fine." Cryark drunkly replies from the room. Someone familiar showed up, her M-23 Katana shotgun shown with a Cerberus camo...and looking a bit different. "Agreed. Long as the b**** dies for dragging me from my psychotic biotic GF." Vanguard Shep yells.
-
Forgot how emo she looked
"Great. Talath and Iseph will be on board. And we have three floors!"
-
"Three floors, eh? Sounds like a place for...screwing around, we'll say." Vanguard Shep replied, as Val's kid runs to her, latching on to her leg. "Mommy...what does 'screwing around' mean?" She asks, with Val giving a somewhat embarrassed look. "You'll learn it in school, kid." She replies, smiling (Val giving a dirty look in response.) "Then...I guess we'll move. Personally, I'm already starting to like this Shepard." Riley responds, smiling under her helmet, as they left the Deimos, Merrick coming into the place with a puzzled look.
Timeskip?
-
Glitch and the rest of the group boarded the Invictus and she gave a small briefing on the ship. "The main floor is the second floor, holding the cargo bay, Galactic map room, engineering, infirmary, cockpit and wreck room." Glitch motioned around the room they stood in, the Galactic map room. "The first floor is below us, holding an alliance Kodiak shuttle, the mess, the galley and the 'tech' Bay. As well as some storage." "On the third floor is the crew quarters and the armory."
-
"Straight and to the point..." Riley had whispered, saluting Glitch before making a run for the wreck room, Cheryl and Val following. "Thank you, Glitch; I'll help see if it could modify any weapons in the armory." Cryark had politely said, searching for an elevator or stairs. This left Vanguard Shep, a wide grin on her face. "Well...seems like I can start beating heads and blowing sh** up again." She says, walking to the Galaxy map itself, punching in coordinates.
-
Glitch sighed to herself, and followed Cyrak to the elevator, taking him upstairs. After he found himself at the armoury, she went downstairs to the tech Bay.
-Do something on board the ship, with any of your characters. (Iseph can be found in the cockpit, Talath in the medbay, Glitch in the tech Bay) -Timeskip
-
The sound of knocking came from the medbay, seemingly a slow knock, as if he/she wanted to be known. ------------------------------ Riley had walked up to Iseph, peering over whatever he was doing in the cockpit, trying to see what he was doing. ----------------------------- Cryark opened the door to Glitch's tech bay, his Barrager and his spare Vindicators and various other weapons in a sack he was carrying. "You up for a conversation?" He asks.
-
The door to the medbay opened, and Talath's read eye peered over his shoulder at whoever at entered his "safe space." ------------------ Iseph looked up at Riley, then looked back down and pressed a few buttons. The ship groaned, and he looked up again. It became clear he was the pilot. "Location arrival time: Unknown. Riley, N7 operative. Do you know the mission Parameters? Specifically location." Everything about him was very...robotic.... //////// "Hm?" She stopped tinkering on a small device she held in her hands and swiveled in her chair to face Cyrak "Always am."
-
It was the Vanguard Shep, who gave a small smile Talath's way. "Been a while, hm?" She asks, the M-23 Katana attached to her back. -------------------------- "Val mentioned something about one of the Deimos's former crewmemebers. Raja'Vael vor Nashket. He's working with the Illusive Man to get the Quarians and Geth the support they need to match with the Alliance or Turians. He found where his daughter was; Quarian colony of Shekiet, in the Titan Nebula. They lost contact with the rest of the Migrant Fleet. Admirals sent Quarian Infiltartor Squads, Geth sent an entire fleet there. Both lost contact, and now? The Illusive Man turned to Val and us to go after them." Riley explains, twirling around her M-5 Phalanx in her hand. ------------------------- "Yeah...I just...need someone to show me..." he says, starting to strangely choke up.
-
Talath's eyes blinked, and he nodded towards her before turning around and pouring something into a vial that he held in his hands. -------------- "Colony. I was led to belive that Quarians would not settle for new planet. Only their lost homeworld." Iseph commented, standing up from his chair and headed to the Galactic map room with Riley in tow ---------- "You alright?" Glitch asked, rising up to her feet and moving towards Cyrak quickly
-
"What? I'm actually surprised you haven't pointed a gun at me and tried to kill me again...especially after I almost killed that female turian girl at Demeter. So...you cooking up some dangerous poison for salarian mercs? A cure for Kepral's Syndrome?" She sarcastically said, walking over to Talath to see what he was doing. ------------------------- "Actually, least according to the galaxy's codex, Admiral Xen sent people to create 'colonies' to 'create the future of the Quarian race'. What she really means? Send Quarians who're smarter than others and send them out to distant planets for research." She says, chuckling at the ideal. -------------------------- "The war...that damn asari war..." Glitch could hear the turian mumble under his breath.
-
Talath handed the vial to her, basically forcing into her hand. "Drink." Was all he said, picking up a syringe from off the table.
-Drink the liquid (+5 Talath Loyalty, +????/ -????) -Do not drink the liquid (-???)
------------- Talath punched in the coordinates for the colony into a console and they showed up on the Galactic map. "Or perhaps, it is simply exactly what she is looking for. To go without a home for so long...." He drifted off, sounding less robotic and ALMOST human... ------------------- "What about it?" Glitch asked, putting both her hands on the Turians shoulders to calm him
-
"Um...okay?" She responds, downing the entire thing in one sitting. "What the hell was that?" She asked. -------------------------- "That...could be true. But knowing how Xen was when they were fighting for Rannoch...I don't know. Whatever's there, it somehow got the Quarians and Geth quiet." She responds, before someone requested to speak via comms.
Take the call (+5 ????) Don't take the call (nothing happens)
-------------------- "My family. They were...we were...a proud family. Lived on the turian colony of Haelokia, in the Cambrian Cluster. A few mass relays away from Palaven, in fact. The Cluster... sent info about the turians losing control of another colony, nearby, Bartrus, around six months ago." He says. "They...Victus...lost contact with the colony a few hours ago. There was nothing from turian sensors, but..." he responds. "It's time that for once in my damn life, I'd go and see if my family is okay. Victus says that them and the salarian 6th fleet would be there in a day, but...I don't know if there's enough time for the colony to escape. Silsia must be worried about her mother out there in the war as well." He says.
-
"A poison..." Talath calmly stated before Vanguard Shep suddenly found herself on her knees, her entire body feeling heavy and lost. He stabbed the syringe into her up chest, and injected whatever was inside directly into her chest. The heaviness subsided, but she still had a strange feeling in her stomach. "Needed test subject. Works phenomenally, thank you."
Rewards: +5 Talath Loyalty 1/5 Biological understanding. Talath's knowledge on medications has increased slightly, and he will be able to do more as a doctor "Hidden Powers" Most of the Vanguard's powers have been amplified, explaining her uneasy feeling. Losses: Vanguard Shep will now have an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach for the rest of her life.
-------------- "A moment." He hit a button on the console, and a holographic image of whoever was calling stood in the middle of the galaxy map. "Yes?" Iseph asked, eyeing the hologram. --------------------- "You know, we could always make a pit stop. Check on things in the colony." Glitch stated, trying to ease him
-
"Why do I feel so...powerful?" Vanguard Shep asked, "Damn, doc...you're no 'stay down until I heal you' Chakwas, but...maybe warn me next time that I'm a damn test subject. Otherwise, I'd probably...I don't know, biotically charge you." She proceeded to get up, one of her hands on her stomach. "Although I swear, if you made me some damn carrier for a kid...." ------------------------ Admiral Xen appeared on the galaxy map, seemingly pacing around. "I've heard about your little deal with the Quarian bosh'tet with Cerberus. Wants you to rescue his daughter, correct?" She asks, an Arc pistol in her hand. ------------------------- "No....no. Victus, Hackett, all of them...their ships are gonna be above orbit of Tatakai in a few weeks. Massive conference on what to do with Cerberus and refugees. And about this whole asari war." Cryark explained, sweat falling off his mandibles.
-
"Children? No, I despise them. A simple side effect." Talath said, turning his attention back to his work. "It was... An interesting experience." ------------ "That is, indeed, what the mission entails." Iseph said, crossing his or rather, it's, arms over its chest. ------------ "A few weeks? We could be there and out in a few minutes! That's it, I'm making it official. We're going." Glitch said, almost giddy
-
"Sure, salarian wannabe." She replies, walking out of the room, hand still clutched to her stomach. -------------------------------- "Well...instead of having her join your little suicide rag-tag commando team, have her return to the Migrant Fleet; to Rannoch. I don't want some dumb team such as them to go and kill some potential. Also...if you get the chance, find some dead Geth. The scientific beneifits..." Xen begins to explain.
Paragon Action: Cut her off here. Neutral: ???? Renegade: STFU, bosh'tet.
--------------------------------- "No, no. It's fine. I'm...I'm sure my species can deal with them. I'll just...wait for news, I guess." He replies, moving around his Barrager. "You know...was kinda hoping I could spend more time with Serendipity, that female Turian you got. Felt like maybe introducing her to my family after all this is over."
-
Edited by Royal Blade: 4/19/2017 10:52:40 AM
End
] ---------------- "Our mission Parameters are clear. They do not include taking her somewhere otherwise than we must." Iseph said, cutting the Admiral off. ------------ "I'm sure she'll be back by the time we get there. It was a mission on planet anyway." Glitch said, giving a hearty smile
-
"Just think about it. My ship will be over Rannoch if you wish to take her back to the Migrant Fleet." Zen replies, cutting off her comms. "Well...that was...a bit weird." Riley had whispered to Iseph behind him. A second message appeared. It was from the turians. ----------------------------------- Cryark gave a smile into return, albeit more of a sad smile. "Thanks...though I think we need to still focus on getting that quarian back from there." He replies, lifting his Barrager up.
-
Iseph put this message through as well, gazing at whoever appeared on the Galactic map ----------- "What's the point of life if all you do is slog through the main story?" Glitch asked
