You developed a few penny apps and deem you know about the marketing machine of huge software houses? Their marketing is nothing to do with the game, they are selling a product, their job is to fuel the hype train and turn hype into cash. There doesn't even need to be a product, just the promise of one. No one has any idea of what destiny 2 even is apart from some cheesy deadpool rip off adverts. They've bought into an idea at the moment.

I haven't claimed any knowledge of software in any reply. Understanding how companies make money is very different to understanding how to program.
