Xanthus had too yelled out in pain, holding his chest with one of his hands. The knife had managed to puncture through the leather, chainmail and gambeson, but not to an extremely lethal way. At this point the mage was beyond pissed as he did a somersault into a stand and ran towards his staff. He had decided to forego his previous statement as propped it up.
The quarterstaff shook violently as the greyish aura sheathed it, then the yellow flame danced up and down on it. Whatever was going on, it didn't seem to be too pretty.
Xanthus slammed the staff upon the ground with all of his might, the fire-like aura transferring within the ground. The ground shook beneath the courtyard itself, an earthquake was happening on a mountaintop? Bizarre. No, this was Xanthus's doing.
The ground started to split and crack beneath Xanthus, as it made towards Octavia. Flames seeped out from it, as if the pits of hell had been released upon them. The split had started to widen as it approached Octavia, flames now roaring from it. He had planned to kill her on the spot.

Edited by Orn: 4/5/2017 8:52:00 PM"S-Shit!!" Octavia yelled, as adrenaline began to course through her body as the the split earth came close. She immediately jolted out of the courtyard, bearing through the agony that rushed through her thigh as she continued to sprint through the hellhole that was known as the Dojo. Eventually, Xanthus couldn't see her as the earth continued to rumble and crack - she had gotten behind some buildings. In truth, Octavia was probably dead or was a complete idiot - her plan? It was to bring down the Dojo with her, relying on Xanthus to continue the magic that he had casted.

The fire had died out, as did the earthquake. Xanthus had stopped it as he looked visibly weary, panting and gasping as he used his stick to keep himself up. He had used too much Power in this burst of anger, a hasty thought gone wrong. The mage had looked around a bit and assumed Octavia had died, and started to hobble off to get some rest and contemplate. Xanthus looked like a completely different man at this point, not a faucet of anger but just tiredness.

Edited by Orn: 4/6/2017 12:17:30 AMMeanwhile, Octavia wasn't in a much better state. The Peacekeeper fell to the concrete after running to a separate courtyard, tearing off her helm viciously before placing both hands upon the stone, and began to abruptly puke, bile covering the ground in a disgusting manner. Her tiredness, combined with her agony and pure terror, had taken a toll on her, as she rubbed her eyes and sighed deeply. After a minute of simply sitting against the ground and cleaning herself, Octavia slowly stumbled upwards, standing straight as mumbles of fear escaped her mouth. She looked around for any signs of Xanthus, before walking off shakily.. ((End, unless you want Xan to show up.))
