Octavia didn't have time to formulate a plan of defending herself entirely, but she had a decent idea - as beforehand, she strafed towards Remy, but didn't deflect the incoming blade, as that had taken too much effort and wouldn't worked as well as beforehand. She instead raised both of her weapons, as Remy's sword crashed upon the weapon's guards. Or...whatever that little space is between the guard and the blade. I don't know..
Anyway, she positioned her sword-and-dagger to where Remy's blade ended up being somewhat blocked by them, although the tip of the edge nearly came down upon Octavia. Remy's strength also played a factor, as it nearly knocked her back - still, she suddenly pushed him back and delivered a swift kick to his left foot, hoping to sweep him off his feet.

Sparks flew up from all three blades, while a deafening clang rang through the courtyard, almost perfectly in sync. Remy didn't quite have time to react, as Octavia retaliated, and.. that what she wanted to happen, was exactly what happened, the giant being downed with a groan. He hit the stone pavement of the ground with a gasp, as the air was forcefully removed from his lungs, but he wasn't out yet. The knight's hands were still wrapped around his greatsword's cruciform, though his left hand let it go, as he rolled away from Octavia, only an instant after he fell down onto the ground. Now, he was on his front, quickly getting back up to his feet. His left hand grasped the blade of his sword, half-swording it. Then, he poked at Octavia, aiming for her center of mass.

Octavia's only way to even react to the incoming poke was to attempt to knock it off its course, except that she was considerably too weak to really do so - it didn't help that she was already tired out, because deflecting, parrying, and tripping fatasses like Remy - er, heavily armored knights like Remy - takes an awful lot of effort. In response to the poke though, she did attempt to halt its progress by slashing, her own sword clashing feebly against the longsword and, if went well, would've pushed it aside. Octavia got the message that Remy would've wanted a chance to recover, so she backed off, tiresome breaths escaping her mouth as if she was already exhausted.

Meanwhile, the fatty Remy was just fine, his breathing slow and controlled, even if his heart was beating at a decently high rate, right in his chest. He had plenty of stamina, of endurance, of energy to continues training for a long while -- something that just sort of.. came, with him being a knight and all. Anyhow.. The sword did go off its course, though not because Octavia hit it, since a weak slash wouldn't do much, considering that Remy was a big and scary knight, while also half-swording his blade.. no, he moved it on its own, the tip of the weapon soon driving into the dirt, as Rem leaned on it. "I think we should probably stop," He spoke, mild concern in his voice as he looked Octavia over, hearing her heavy-ish breathing. "You sound exhausted, look exhausted. You did good, though. You did very good."

A few more puffs of exhaustion escaped the Peacekeeper'a mouth before she eventually straightened her figure, looking up at the air before turning her head to stare upon Remy. She sheathed her sword-and-dagger combination, the separate blades sliding into their holsters as she only nodded towards the Warden, before speaking in a tired, yet happier tone. "Y-Yeah, I suppose... Happy to see that you could counter, truly. It's truly impressive - seeing a warrior be capable of such versatility.. So, ah...what now, Rem...?" Octavia then removed her helmet, allowing her long light brown hair to rush down to her shoulders, as she reached up to brush a piece out of her lime green eyes. Sweat ran down the side of her face, as she faintly smiled at Remy in a genuine manner.

In the meantime, Remy just kept his longsword as and where it was, the tip slightly pushed into the dirt of the courtyard, since he didn't have a sheath -- not for this particular weapon, anyway, while his short sword did have one. His right arm was wrapped around the cruciform, elbow hooked around it as he leaned on the sword. "I don't know," He spoke in response, his own voice happier than before, yet not tired in the slightest. "I wasn't even planning on ruining into you, to be entirely truthful -- though I'm not complaining.. as for my versatility, thank you." Rem grinned beneath his helmet -- something he'd soon take off, as his left hand reached for it, soon slipping it off his head.. first time Octavia would see Remy's face, in fact. The very first time. Because you never replied the first time. Goddammit. Anyhow, for his actual appearance.. He was rugged, in a very handsome way. His hair - which was a midnight black in colour - was somewhat unkempt and a little long, but what else would you expect? Anyhow, further, he had a well-kept beard, covering his jawline and around his lips, like a lumberjack's, but shorter. That all being said, his face wasn't completely perfect, as he had a gigantic scar, reaching from between his left eye - which was a chestnut brown in colour - and the very top of his nose, all the way down to the right side of his lips, crossing his face. He also had two cross claymores tattooed on his left cheek, in black ink.

Octavia didn't respond to Remy firsthand, as she retreated to sitting upon a wooden bench next to the concrete wall, before she actually did catch a glimpse of Remy's facial appearance. In her opinion, he was...quite handsome, really. He still seemed to be the warrior type with the jagged scar and tattoo, but handsome nonetheless. "First time I've seen your face," The Peacekeeper noted, smirking a little to herself and clutching her helmet with both hands now. She wouldn't tell Remy how she thought he looked, but...hey, she would if he asked.
