It is my belief that if the existing special ammo economy is to remain, then all specials should be returned to full strength. This includes fusion rifles, shotguns and sniper rifles.
At least they would be more fun to use in the limited amount of time you have to use them.

3 RepliesI don't mind the changes but side arms need balancing and so does ice breaker. Hate all you want people - it's true. I loved my pigeon before side arms became a stable platform for pvp but annoying retention for side a is dumb as fck. Trial sis nothing but worm wood and the breaker of ice ness.

3 RepliesIgnore the trolls. I agree baby.

1 ReplyOnly if the restore the power of primaries

2 RepliesJust wondering if you have been around since the release of Destiny? If so, do you not remember this exotic weapon called the VEX? If you undo all special weapon nerfs (fusion rifles) then those that have it will simply equip the vex and wreck in pvp. It acted like an auto rifle sniper. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

What if they removed the special weapon slot, and essentially added all special weapons to the primary slot. Making shotguns, fusions, snipers, sidearms all a primary. Then everyone is happy.
-
1 ReplyI can get behind this. Or at least most of the way. Ice Breaker exists, so taking that all the way back to before when you could just calmly dome someone even if they were spraying you right in the face with bullets would still be a little lopsided.
-
8 RepliesYep there is no reason this doesn't happen. If the special economy worked like this from the start no special weapons would have been nerfed and there never would have been a special meta.
-
3 RepliesCool idea.
-
4 RepliesThis makes perfect sense. I miss the Fusion Rifle power. I remember a time where using a fusion rifle meant you were a scrub ; )
-
1 ReplyBeen saying this since the beginning that special weapons were never really an issue just the fact that they hand out ammo for them like Candy.... Also, I wouldn't mind the old rule of opponents dropping special to return as well.
-
1 ReplyWhile I haven't played in several months, and thus have no first-hand experience with the changes, I like your idea, TKL.
-
3 RepliesYes, I'd agree with that.
-
10 RepliesI'd just be happy with keeping what we have in the cartridge...
-
5 Repliesyes, sorta like this old game i used to play had theese more powerful weapons scattered around the maps....what was the game....halo, halo 2 and halo 3 I believe they were called...bungie could learn from the developers of those games
-
4 RepliesIt never should have happened, I can't snipe now, I ground 223 packages to get my first alpha roll, now it's useless even if I live through a round of trials. What makes me so ticked off is that only shotguns needed adjusting, and was the only thing requested. But hey, left Nerf it all and make snipes even more obsolete.

4 RepliesIf everyone is over powered than no one is over powered
-
2 RepliesJust another bungie fix aka braking the game even more. When it calls for a scalpel they use a sledgehammer. Bungie devs are idiots
-
Right. So when someone dies, and doesn't have any special, they can come complain about how they're getting wrecked by specials again...... I agree with you. However this is what would happen.

Saldins vigil will be unstoppable

14 RepliesFun for whom? I am having a lot more fun in Crucible as things stand now than before. I am using Primaries so much that I really am not experiencing any secondary ammo shortages.
-
5 RepliesI completely agree and for more reasons than just the special ammo situation. Ever since HoW sidearms have been getting nothing but buffs while every other special weapon has been torn down with nerfs. Throw in that special ammo change and people have finally had enough and realize that there's no reason to use nerfed beyond hell weapons that don't keep their ammo.

1 ReplyEdited by Lord Yoink N Bag: 3/15/2017 4:40:44 PMSpecial weapons should automatically reload as per heavy on pick up with these changes. That would at least speed things up a bit.
-
1 ReplyEdited by X-LoganX: 3/15/2017 4:47:17 PMSorry TKL I don't agree with this at all. Despite the ammo change (which really isn't that bad) We'd be right back to having specials be more "primary" than a lot would like simple because of the power and 1HK potential. Ammo box camping would become worse and we'd also be back to snipers and shotguns having fewer counters. We're in a much better place with specials having a more situational and frugal usage. Once they've address sidearm and other regen properties we'll see an even more balanced use. I like the idea of loading the mag on pickup. That should definitely been done.

1 ReplySo if I'm hearing you correct, you're saying nerf fusion rifles.
-
Sidearm scrubs where they at tho??? All up in crucible that's where
-
Original power would make shotguns worse. Snipers worse. And make fusions gods again. So ok.
