In the room, Val's foot seemed to be in the Phantom's neck, stuck up against a wall. Both seemed to have bruises all across the body, as a weakened Miranda kneels at what seemed to be some sort of special biotic handcuffs or so. The Cerberus agent, Cheryl, had a gun to Miranda's head.
No one seems to notice their entrance to the room.

"Emergency defense protocol. If we get boarded, they are activated and act as a distraction so that we can escape the ship. The entire front cockpit can be separated from the ship you see, and usually has enough to get us somewhere safe."

Kaidan also laughed for quite a bit. "Hackett was a good man. Rear Admiral Anderson, Commander Shepard and he...they were like some type of loyalty trifecta. Since Shepard retired to sunny Eden Prime, I'm filling the gap." He responds, relaxing in his normal mood.

"And what about you and the others? Deimos crew, Miranda and so on."

"I knew Val; tortured by Maya Brooks for a good few months...wasn't until the turian, Cryark, rescued her. Miranda and I go further back; we used to be comrades to Commander Shepard. The doctor I mentioned? Another comrade, named Doctor Chakwas. Trust me, depending on how you deal with doctors, she could be your dream doctor or a nightmare." Kaidan explained, chuckling at Chakwas's part.

"Maybe. She's actually here, treating Miranda over in the small base, despite whether Miri over there has any say in this." Kaidan responded, chuckling. "She might have some medical data that could help heal some of your people."

"Oh I'm sure we'll be fine. We've managed so far. The doctor would prove a good ally though. What about others? Outside powers?"

"Well...I know that one of the Deimos crew headed out to the planet of Sogan. Pretty nice place; reminds of this 21st century film. Looked like some place called Naboo. Then there's Garrus; no clue what happened to him since Cronos Station. Then there's Jack, probably one of the most unstable and powerful biotics I know. She's teaching, last time I checked. Don't really know about the others yet." He replied.

She nods, grabbing Cheryl's M-3 Predator, as they make a run for the bottom of the tower. A hallway bursts open, as Cerberus Kodiaks dropped Cerberus Assault Troopers, Centurions, and Combat Engineers , who were beginning to set up their turrets.
