Only a small portion of them were used on Demeter; the majority of them are at multiple planets and systems in the Terminus Systems." She responds, before she began losing her breath.
Gotcha.
"Kaidan Alenko, Council Specter. Hackett sent me to stay on Tatakai; help keep the people safe in some way. I'm supposing that's the Cerberus agent that you mentioned?" He asks, looking to Cheryl, who at this point was unconcious. "We can go!" An Alliance soldier yelled, as he closed the cargo bay.
-
Ghost: "Indeed it is, where do we take her ?" The ship rose from the ground, firing off and exiting the planets atmosphere
-
"Take her to quarters from now...make sure someone watches her at all times. We'll interrogate her once we reach Tatakai." Kaufman replied, reloading his M-8 Avenger.
-
"We're already there." The ship entered slip space, and exited almost immediately afterwards, around the planet of Takatai Ghost: "Covenant tech. Jumping galactic distances in the blink of an eye."
-
"...Well then." Kaidan confusingly answered. "The Alliance already has its 12th and 15th fleets over the planet; we can land and find a good place for her. And, somewhere where we could heal our two gals over there." Kaidan replied, "While we're here, I could teach you guys how to make some old Canadian delicacies; mom's recipe." He smiled, as they landed.
-
Ghost: "That sounds... Pleasant to say the least." The door to the med bay and Talath exited with the two women. He had done what he could but the ship was no place for these injuries. Ghost: "Are we sticking around in here than?"
Halo tech OP
-
"Up to you. I convinced an old friend of ours to help heal her; should be in maximum capacity depending if she lets Miri over here get out of bed." Kaidan says, chuckling to himself, as Miranda shot a cold look his way. "You didn't..." she said. "I did; the Alliance set up a temporary camp near the Ko Rudo Mountains; we should get there if those two want to be healed." Kaidan replies.
-
Ghost: 'Understand, Iseph change course for the mountains." Iseph: "Affirmative." The ship rose from the ground and moved towards the mountains
-
Near the base of the mountain, on high ground, was a small Alliance base. A few big buildings laid there, as multiple Alliance personnel ran toward the Invictus, helping it land.
-
Ghost: "Interesting locale for a Base." The ramp fell downward and the group inside the ship was led out. As he Left, Kaidan noticed three metallic figures along the wall of the cargo bay
-Leave the ship -Ask about robots -Ask about ship
-
"Hey...you mind asking me about the ship itself? Of course, I already know about the Deimos and its tech, but what about yours? Such as how we didn't use a Mass Relay and jumped a few light years from Horizon to here?" Kaidan asked...well, any of the Invictus crew that could hear him.
-
Noble stopped, and sat down on a box of cargo Noble: "It's hard to explain, but I'll try. Slipstream space, or slip space, is a collective term for the eleven non-visible infinitesimal dimensions used for faster-than-light travel. Are you familiar with the United Nations Space Command?"
-
"UNSC? Heard about them once...why?" They created this ship?" Kaidan asked, sitting on a different piece of cargo.
-
Ghost: "Not exactly, in 2291, Tobias Shaw and Wallace Fujikawa were the first humans to successfully implement a device that could transition normal matter into slipstream space, the Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine. Guess who the work for. The UNSC."
-
"Wait, 2291? Isn't it..." Kaidan asked, confused by the date.
-
"The future? You'd be right in assuming that. The ship comes from a separate timeline. Around 3,218 to be precise."
-
"So...you guys...still have Earth in at least one of your timelines?" Kaidan asked, getting a bit...fidgety.
-
"On the downside, no Alliance. No Cerberus. Everything came together to make the UNSC."
-
"How is that a downside? Isn't it good that humanity comes together? I mean, I'm no Cerberus operative or anything, but isn't humanity uniting a GOOD thing?" He asks, confused.
-
"Not when you're uniting for a singular enemy. I'd rather face four smaller enemies with allies. That face one large enemy that is greater than the four, with no potential help. But that's just my opinion."
-
Kaidan thought about that for a minute, letting it sink in, before turning to the mechs. "And those?"
-
"Emergency defense protocol. If we get boarded, they are activated and act as a distraction so that we can escape the ship. The entire front cockpit can be separated from the ship you see, and usually has enough to get us somewhere safe."
-
"Alright. Nice touch. You wanna know stuff about me?" Kaidan asks, relaxing on his box.
>No, I'm busy. Investigate: >Relation between Miranda, Kaidan, and the doctor. >Possible help? >Admiral Hackett
-
"Did you know that what you're sitting on could destroy the planet?" He sounded dead serious for a moment before chuckling "Nah just kidding. What are your ties to admiral Hackett?"
-
Kaidan also laughed for quite a bit. "Hackett was a good man. Rear Admiral Anderson, Commander Shepard and he...they were like some type of loyalty trifecta. Since Shepard retired to sunny Eden Prime, I'm filling the gap." He responds, relaxing in his normal mood.
