Merrick had looked at the short figure in a small tinge of confusion, but then returned to looking at the dead robbers before him.

"Tried to steal some food from a local bakery. Sniveling thrives had been at it for a couple days. Had to stop them." He replied, not even looking at the fox, and instead was fixated on one of the bodies.
