Mari sighs shakily as she closes her eyes, a single tear dropping from them as she tried saying something. "th...tann...thhhann.....thhhannk y-you..." she said, struggling to pronounce the words.

*Sapphire holds her tighter, seeing Li'l S grow larger and write what she said on his chest..* [u]Y-You're welcome... Would you like to... Live with me?[/u]

She nodded, having nowhere else to live.

[u]I-I promise I'll t-take good care of you... Nothing w-will harm you...[/u]

She hugged a little tighter, another tear rolling down her face.

*Sapphire silently nuzzles her a little, trying to comfort her.*

She calms herself down, nuzzling her back. She keeps her eyes closed as she continues to hug her, happy to have somewhere to call home.

*Sapphire sighs, wishing she could keep hugging Mari but pulling away instead.* [u]Alright, well, time to brush your teeth.[/u]

She looked up at her curiously.

[u]You've never brushed your teeth??? I've got so much to teach you![/u] *She says, leading Mari into the bathroom and putting toothpaste on a toothbrush.*

She follows, looking at it with a confused expression.

[u]Okay... So, you brush your teeth to keep them clean and looking shiny. Can you open your mouth for me?[/u] *She asks, crouching down to Mari's height.*

She opens her mouth. Her teeth are actually decently white, not being too yellow.

[u]Oh, your teeth look nice already! But basically, you use this brush to get the toothpaste on your teeth, like this.[/u] *She gently puts her hand to Mari's chin, slowly sticking the brush into her mouth.*

She looks uneasy as she does so, but stays still, her ears twitching.

*Sapphire reaches in a bit farther, starting to brush the teeth in the very back of her mouth.*

Mari gags, a little surprised. She accidentally closes her mouth, biting Sapphire's wrist.

[u]Ouch![/u] *Sapphire pulls her hand out with the toothbrush, her wrist starting to bleed a little.*

Mari whimpers, her ears going down. She didn't mean to bite her.

[u]N-No, it's alright! You didn't mean to.[/u] *She says, wrapping some gauze around her wrist.*

She calms down, still looking sorry.

[u]It's okay... Really... You need to spit out the toothpaste though.[/u] *She says, rubbing her wrist a little and turning on the sink.*

She laps up some water and swooshes is around before spitting it into the sink.

[u]Good... Um... I'm not sure what we should do next...[/u]

She shrugs. Sapphire just then notices all Mari is wearing is a tattered deer-skin dress.
