Listen to Johnny cash. Or George strait. Cash can lean a couple different ways, like folk or even rock. Strait is just country. Both are perfect examples of great music. Many other country artists are really pop/country. Most are pretty meh if good at all. John Denver if another amazing country/folk artist. Honestly one of the greats. Search "take me home country roads" or "rocky Mountain high" some personal favorites.
