The man's words became calm and collected - he was taking the peaceful approach to this. But urgency underlined his every word.

"Militia? That's putting it very lightly. We're guards, the army around here. What do you need to know?"

"My apologies. I am somewhat jaded towards occupying military forces, but I will keep my personal opinion out of this matter. For starters: where am I and what does this place serve, exactly?"

"We're not a military presence, we're hired by the dojo for the dojo. In a way maybe we are military. But you, you are at the dojo. A place for warriors of all kinds to come and train."
