Hey all!
Just thought i'd make a thread and ask around a bit to all the people that have done the new raid. If you didn't already have a clan/group of friends to raid with, how did you get into it? I've been struggling to get into random groups since the raid came out, mostly due to the high light level and experience requirements everyone sets. I've spent a lot of time in the recruitment section, lfg, destinyteamfinder and just checking if anyone can take in someone inexperienced but it's almost always a requirement I can't fill and if there isn't anything written about it, when I contact the person to join I tell them about my lack of experience in the raid and then they don't want me. I've managed to get into two groups since the release but have had to leave right before the final boss fight. Any tips on where to find sherpas or how to get into groups with people that can be a little understanding of the fact that I haven't finished the raid 20+ times?
Oh and I don't want to lie about being experienced, so don't suggest that :)
I've always raided with randoms, so I know the struggle. Watch the guides on you tube so you have an idea of what to do then make your own group on lfg, or just let the party leader know you haven't done it but you've watched the guide. I did it last week for the first time, if you have a high light level then it shouldn't be a problem, none of the mechanics are too hard.
