Because the decreased player base, the game have to find players from all over the world to match up with you! Not only you will get match up with people from the other side of the world and you will get match up with people that is way better!

I didn't see any forewarning about that crap, don't they usually do that early in the day when there's way less people on

I still believe it is because of the deceased player base. There's only hardcore destiny fans left playing this kinda broken pvp.
