Nope.

Well there was a guy in my fight club named knight. After he slew an uncountable number of others and protected me from two attempts at assassination, he dueled me to the death. Surprise, I lost. Later on, he came back, was repeating the event, when he drank estus. By accident, I assume, because he collapsed and let me give him the executioner's axe.
