Yes they are kind of op by how noob friendly they are. I'm a very inexperienced Titan and have a 2.4 kind of shows you that IMO they are pretty easy especially defender.

The thing about titans is that you can use them easily. But it actually takes practice to use them super well. For example, anyone can fist of panic in crucible. Meanwhile, titans who are actually rather skilled will save it for a problematic super, or maybe clearing a point in control if the whole enemy team is on it.
