He just barely notices, making him stop, the booming sounds of his footsteps, along with the clanking of his armour going silent. He also pulled the woman a bit closer to him, moving his head closer to her mouth. He was actually doing his best to listen.
It surprised him how he was acting with her. Any other Black Templar would've purged her, but he didn't. He even picked her up, and carried her with him in his attempt at finding civilization. How... kind, really. Kind and strange.
