He sees a strange red Necron nearby,. It seemed to be female and sitting on a rock, holding a symbol that couldn't be made out at this distance.
Vaaxius sits on the rock, looking at her old House of Rain cloak, or what was left of it. Nothing but the symbol was left, with tatters of cloth attached to it.
"I miss you...... Why did I leave like such a fool?..."
In my head. Vaaxius appeared in the RoB universe due to getting in a argument with Traliks about dimensional openers being a good idea, aka ripping open the fabric of reality to create portals. She left through one and was instantly captured by Kor'El when he was the Necron Overlord.
"Yeah, they weren't by choice though..."
-
"I see... well, you still look like yourself. Which is good."
-
"I do?.... I don't feel the same..."
-
"Well, no matter what you look like, you're still my baby." He smirks.
-
"Thank you, and you're still my hulking sweetheart..."
-
"indeed I am." He chuckles. "Love you, darling."
-
"I love you too...."
-
He put two hands on her. One on her back, the other on her butt, as they walked. "So... do you have a camp nearby?"
-
"Yup, it's over there...." Astrid points in the direction of the general quarters
-
He walks to it with her. "So, have you made any friends?"
-
"Yup, a few too. There's is Kor'El.... Actually, you probably don't want to meet him...... There's this girl with wolf traits named Lupa.... I think I met a Daemoette queen who was pretty friendly, I can't remember though, too much booze.... That's it I think. Oh, and don't worry about this Daemoette, she's on our side."
aka Vaaxius got smashed during the celebration and can't remember any of it.
-
"Kor'El? I remember that name... I must've seen him once or twice, on the battlefield."
-
"How did he look? Was this when he was green or red?"
-
"Um... he was blue. He is a Tau, is he not?"
-
"Oh! That must have been before I came here! His race is debatable now. I just consider him a Necron."
-
"Necron? He'll have to explain that to me..."
-
"Yeah, and it'll explain why I'm like this too...." Vaaxius gulps as she starts to worry about her love kicking Kor'El's ass to the point that it looks like he's stuck in his current body.
-
"How so?" He would only shreck the tin can if his soulmate asked him to do so.
-
"Well... It started right when I arrived in this reality..." Vaaxius explains everything.
-
He listened. Her arrival, her then inevitable capture by the pariahs, her modifications, the war, Kor'El's liberation, the numerous years of searching, until now. "I see..."
-
"Yeah... I'm not proud of what I did back then. Some days I curse Kor'El for this. But he was a victim as much as me..."
-
"I suppose he was. At least, he liberates Necrons as much as he can, repaying for his sins."
-
Vaaxius nods and starts to cry. "I killed so many people... Soldiers, civilians, I wiped out entire familes because I thought I was superior to everyone else..... I took lives that could have been wonderful......"
-
"Well, that's how necron do. They kill. They hate life in all forms. Nothing is spared. Not even the very earth from which they come. Don't blame yourself, babe. You did nothing wrong as you. The horrors... they weren't commited by your hand."
-
"I still remember the last words I said before being liberated..... 'I can't wait to see my children again, it'll be so fun to tear them apart..'...." He could tell that no matter what he said, it'll be awhile before she stopped blaming herself....
