POLL: ALL IN FAVOR OF DROPPING LAST GEN SAY AYE!
I'm not going to lie, they should have initially made Destiny for the current gen consoles back in 2013. From where we are today it's like people who didn't want to buy a Blu-ray player when their DVD player still worked. The current gen consoles have been out for 3 years almost... 3 freaking years! Those systems came out over 10 years ago! Get over it, I ate a pb&j everyday for 3 months straight to save up and buy the PS4. Yes I just bought the PS3 two years before. But I could tell a remarkable difference after playing it on the PS4
For those of you who wish to believe it plays and looks exactly the same check out the video, you will be surprised. I catch myself viewing out into the Cosmodrome all the time. EDIT 2: Thanks again for all the support guys, once again I understand what some people mean by having to change to a new system, buy the same game again. But listen to me and wait until they announce either a system bundle or deluxe edition ROI. It will save you lots of moneys and it will give you some time to save up and decide if sticking with your manufacturer or going to the "other" brand (Ps4 has exclusives 😄) Stay salty guardians and see you all in September!

2 RepliesI'm fine with making destiny 2 current Gen only but you can't have last Gen players come this far in with progress in destiny and just out of no where tell them no. Give them a warning that destiny 2 will be exclusive to current Gen and you can't surprise attack them with something like this. I'm on last Gen but have an xbox one and wouldn't mind buying destiny again but something like this can't be hit by everyone. Some could've bough ps4 last Christmas but they had no reason and telling them that destiny won't be made for current Gen after ttk would've been amazing. They could've prepared and giving them only couple weeks is too short.

The problem with people claiming Rise of Iron is just an expansion forget that it also starts Year Three. It starts a new era. At this point in time, had everything gone to plan, Bungie would be releasing Destiny 2 this fall, and it would be Next-Gen only.

I play on both old and new (xbox), and I feel like I have cataracts when playing on old gen because the graphics are so much worse. And opening menus/using synths is an exercise in frustration. Now honestly, I kinda think they should wait till Destiny 2 to sever the link, but it's going to have to be done sometime soon. Note also that there are some great looking games on old gen consoles, but Destiny isn't one of them for some reason.

I agree that old gen needs to be dropped. But they should wait until 4.5 and the new Xbone to maximize capability.

Were WAAAY to far into destiny to just drop a whole gen of people. Just wait till Destiny 2, if there ever is one. Not like dropping a whole gen will make the story any better....or game play.

Actually, I do have a ps4, but my character that I already has on 360 is a 334 with tons of gear from all the way back in vanilla. It's not worth the grind all over again so I'm waiting for Destiny 2 or to buy an Xbox one
