Listen to Make Them Suffer by Cannibal Corpse, then listen to Abysmal by The Black Dahlia Murder. You'll quickly find that Cannibal Corpse is shit and a terrible front for modern death metal. And if those two bands sound the same to you, then something is horribly wrong with the way your brain processes sound.
Both death metal bands, 2 completely different sub-genres.
Edit: Screamo is a sub genre that died about 10 years ago.
