*nightshade gets the syringe and hurries back not knowing that something amiss as he returns to mortar as fast he can*

* nightshade see the figure * -what does that person want and i got what you asked for- *nightshade holds out his talons which are clutching the syringe for mortar to grab it* -do you want me to attack it?-

*I take the syringe without looking away* Try to grab the cub, I'll attack if needed

-okay i will try if he grabs me i will attack him- *nightshade flies fast past the figure and grabbing the pup gently with his feet taking care not drop hurt it.* -i got him your up-

Alright. *Upon seeing Mortar's sword, the figure hisses and flees*

-that thing ran the last time you want to go after it?- *nightshade sets the pup down by mortar it whimpers*

I will chase it. *I pick up the cup and pet it a little, then put it back on the ground.* You stay here, and make sure nothing gets in this circle.

-will do and what about the pup?- *nightshade lands next the pup and it waddle up next to him*

Keep him from the circle too. If the mom comes, just explain it

-understood - *the pup starts plays with nightshade's long tail feathers biting on them.* *nightshade watches him with head turned in that direction while looking at mortar* -what happens if she doesn't come for him?

I'll take him in then, then release him when he's old enough *I run after the figure*

-ok- *nightshade turns his attention the pup who is playing with his while keeping an eye on the circle*

*Where Mortar was, you hear some strange sounds, followed by a grunt and some roar like sounds*

*the pup at his feet whimpers and tries to hide under him upon hearing the roars.* -its okay little pup i wont let anything hurt you- *pup stops whimpering and tilts its head looking at you*

*Mortar jumps out of the bush and collapses. His eyes are black, but his pupils are a crimson red*

I don't *groan* know... I couldn't get a good look of her face, though the figure Was a female. *Mortar attempts to stand up* Well... I'll be waiting here, trying to diffuse this.

*Nightshade looks at you trying to stand* -you aren't looking so good do you want me to get leyla she might be able to heal you with that book of hers-

*Mortar fully stands up* I think I'll be fine for now. *Mortar takes the syringe and plunges it in his arm. In mere seconds, it is filled with blood* Now. If I do this right, and spread this correctly, I can diffuse it

*You see Mortar squirting his blood around the ring. The needle occasionally catches on fire, but he ignores it, occasionally blowing it out if it gets too big*

*what his blood caught on fire i dont think that normal at he think* -is it suppose to do that?-

Well, Blood is flammable. But this figure's blood is like nothing I've seen...

*As he continues to squirt the blood, he seems to mumble some incantation to try to diffuse it.*
