Idea for balancing viking funeral :)

Hey, I just thought of this idea and was looking to see what people think about it! What if: You equip viking funeral and it takes away the damage done by the firebolt itself and just applies the burn. This would still make it super powerfull, but it wouldn't turn you into a oneshot by one grenade. They could also just take away the perk. 2nd idea: The closer you were to the centre of the grenade on impact, the more the burn does, with the max of doing the same damage as now. Again, just some idea's I'm not looking to 'kill' your subclass, I'm just looking for a balanced idea!

    • Reducing the damage by half, which is what you're suggesting by having no dmg done initially, is simply ignorant. Second, if you kill the Sunsinger before the grenade detonates there is no burn. Of course, that would require you actually hit your target. So tired of hearing about this.

      • The first idea is complete shit. The second idea is a much better solution to reduce effectiveness without necessarily nerfing it into the ground.

          Ihave a better idea, take out supers, granades and melee from pvp. Wait...people will complain about guns...well, add a restriction, only gunsmith guns from that week are allowed(the testing ones)...so everyone has the same shit now, if u die and have less then 1kd u just suck, deal with that!!! This post its not directly to you OP. Its for those bi@tching -blam!-ing nerf callers out there.

          • Have it do same damage but all at once. Eliminate burns from the game including thorn. No fps pvp game should have burn times that make you barely competitive for 14 seconds.

          • A less impactful nerf would be to increase the speed of the burn, making it finish quicker, and starting your recovery sooner. The thing that bothers me most is the down time you have to spend behind cover, not the amount of damage it does

              It's fine the way it is. Firebolt can't kill with full health, other grenades can. Do you guys just create a post nerf about stuff that killed you today??

              • The proximity Firebolt burn idea is a good one. Means that you'll have to be more accurate with your grenade placements rather than throwing it in their general direction. Can it also one shot camping shotgunners who hide around corners because they are a little bitch, please?

                    • Firebolt takes 2 perks to make it good .....tripmine no perks 1 shot kill......fusion nade wich titans have as well takes no perks as well ......arc nade one shots too see where im going with this oh and also check your armor cuz if you are going into crucible with no armor you better have good aim cuz it wont take much to kill you
